A note of Thanks.

Hello my friends, here I come again, my second post for today. This time I am playing Kristina Warner Challenge: One Layer Card. I am not a OLC maker, but once in a while I challenge myself to try it, I love embellishments too much :)

Anyway, for my card I used 7 different ink colors!!! I started stamping the Weave BG from smARTworks (now 50% off while sullies lasts!!) in Ginger, Tangelo and Walnut Stain Ink. Then I stamped the images from On The desk set (Cornish Heritage Farms) in Espresso Ink. Then I stamped the side pen in Peeled Paint Distress Ink. Finally I sponged the borders, I started with Tea Dye, Antique Linen and Walnut Stain.

Card Recipe:
Card Stock" White (GP)

Find the wonder and a rainbow!

Hello my friends! Hope you are having a wonderful day. Today my day started with a beautiful rainbow. to be honest I was feeling down, tired and sleepy, but then when I was doing some early dishes I saw a very bright light coming from the backyard, to my surprise it was a lovely tall and thin rainbow. Oh! my spirit brights and my day has been so great so far. Then after a little over an hour after the first rainbow, my daughter told me it was another one!! it was small and wide and beautiful as well.

Anyway, I have a bright card for you. I just found another blog challenge "The Play Date Cafe", its has a "Color Splash Challenge" : Black, White and Orange.
For my card I used Find the Wonder set (now 50% off while supply lasts!!). First I started with my background, I used a Rectangle piece I cut with Rectangle Nestabilities. I used the border frame and  started sponging inside using Memento Tangelo Ink. I stamped the flower in Black and White; I really wanted to create a 3D effect, I think I need to practice more about this technique.
I added a couple of Pearls and some ribbon at the bottom using staples.

Card Recipe:
Card Stock: White (Gina K.)
Stamps: Find the wonder (smARTworks)
Ink: Tangelo (Memento), Stazon Black (Tsukineko), White Craft.

Challenge cards! and a serious conversation.

Hello my friends and happy Saturday! Today it was a busy day, but great at the same time. My daughter had a soccer game this afternoon and she and her team had a great game (even though her team didn't win). The funny thing is I was sitting on the ground cheering up the team and a little boy was talking to me. He told me he liked his team and his school teacher
So, our conversation went like this:

Me: So, what's your teacher name?
Dylan: Teacher.
Me: Ok,... she must have a name, right?
Dylan: Shis name is teacher of the kids! (He said Shis, :)
Me: Great! You must love her a lot.
Dylan: My teacher is good :)

I smiled, looked at him and said, you are funny. He saw me taking pictures, so he wanted a picture too and I did. Then, he told he wanted to go into the field and play because Rebecca was there, PLOP! I think he didn't know Becca's is my daughter. He whispered to me and said, She is nice!! After the game, we had a potluck and he just wanted to be with Becca, he sat next to her and played to her in the playground, even when he left, he told Becca, "I am leaving, Bye Becca" I was surprised!! Aren't kids sweet, well, it's sweet now they are little, LOL.

Becca and Dylan eating together :)

Anyway, I have 2 cards for you today.

Cookie Challenge: Watch Parts.

Hello my friends! Hope you are having a great day! I am having a better day today, you may not known, but I have been having really bad sinus problems, believe me really bad, fever, headache, earache, tiredness, you name it, I have it. But today is a new day and it is beautiful here, sunny and warm (66F), the perfect temperature to do some yard work, LOL. I mowed half of my yard because the mower run out of gas :), I sat on the fresh grass and drank some cold water and enjoyed time talking to my daughter. I feel much better and I am planning on having a good stamping time today. I haven't stamped in days ( you know why) and even though my desk needs to be cleaned, I am planning to ink my fingers today :)

Anyway, today is time for another Cookie Challenge (the last one) and Susan challenged the DT to create a card using Watch Parts Set. I created a CAS card. I used Kraft CS, sponged borders  and stamped the watch. The number area was cut with Circle Nestabilities and adhered with Foam Tape. I added a Silver brad in the center and also some Pearls in the right corner.

Gina K. Illustrator Blog Challenge.

Hello my friends, How are you today? I hope you are having a great day. This morning I spent some time creating cards for Gina K. Illustrators Challenge, this time getting inspired by your favorite childhood books. I grew up with some traditional Latin American Stories, sadly I don't have any of those books here, so I asked my daughter to tell me some of her favorite books and she brought to me a lot ! LOL. So I basically got inspired by colors. It was perfect because I bought one set from the last release party "Fairy Tales" Set that have worked out perfectly with my designs.

Here are the card I created. All the materials I used are from Gina K.

Once in a while...: I got inspired by What Willie Wore Book.

You Shine: I got inspired by the colors of The Story of the Easter Bunny

Make a Wish: Inspired by the book An Angel of my Own

You Shine "Crown" Inspired by the book Once Upon a Time

Hope you like my cards. I will add the card recipes later. Thanks!
Have a great night!

May all your WISHES come true.

Hello my friends. This post had to come live yesterday and I forgot to make it. In my head I thought it was already on my blog, oh silly me. The other day I posted some cards made with some scraps, so I decided to  play Melanie's Take the scrap challenge again (and again I forgot to make the post). Lately I've been making cards using Gina K. products and I have a lot of little pieces, I am not the kind of person who throws stuff away, I am a keeper, LOL, so I wasn't sure what to do with these little pieces, sooo I made this!! {Look down :) }

I used Tami's new set "Fairy Tales" I used only 2 stamps from this set. I stamped the butterfly , keeping it tone to tone. I paper pierced the pieces and the right side of the card base. I sponged the borders of each piece and added a coordinate rhinestone.
This card also qualifies for the Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World Blog.

Card Recipe:
Card Stock: White, Innocent Pink, Lovely Lavender, Ocean Mist, Creme de Menthe (All Gina K. Designs)
Stamps: Fairy Tales (Gina K. Designs.)
Ink: Certainly Celery (SU), Pretty in Pink (SU), Sweet Plum (Memento),  Summer Sky (Memento), Stazon Black, Tea Dye (Ranger) (for sponging)
Embellishments: Rhinestones

Easter Blessings

Hello my friends and Happy Saturday. I've found a new great blog in blogland!! Hemidemisemiquaver Designs and it brings also a nice challenge! YAY!! and I love it very much. I have tried to play it before, but I didn't have time, I don't like that, LOL. Anyways, here is my take for week challenge.

I inverted the colors since I didn't have any Yellow Patterned Paper, I hope that's OK. I used Spring Florals Set from Gina K. for this card. I stamp the image over the Pattern Paper and added some Stickles (hard to see in the picture)
Card Recipe:
Card Stock: Ocean Mist, Lemon Drop, White (Gina K. designs)
Paper: Postcards from Paris & Sweet as Cherry pie (Webster's Pages).
Ink: Stazon Black, Tea Dye.
Embellishments: Buttons from Spring Collection (Gina K.), Yellow Ribbon (Offray), Stickles.
Accessories: Sewing machine, white thread, daubers, Foam Tape, Mini glue dots.

Hope you like it.
Have a wonderful day!

With Gratitude.

Hello my friends. I hope you are enjoying your Friday! Here is SNOWING!!! I wonder if it's Spring for real, the weather here has been kind of cold for this time of the year, the sad part is I planted some flowers and yesterday I found a nest here in my property, poor little egg, I hope he can make it. Right now "mama bird" is standing over her egg, but she is getting all cover with snow, that's mama's love!!
Anyway, I am trying to stay warm inside and yesterday I made a couple of cards, here is one of them.
With Gratitude: I started this card with a nice sketch from CPS, the colors come from Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World also the String Challenge over @ EBTKS , Pink Challenge over at Stamp Something Blog and finally the Lace Challenge over at Caardvarks Blog .
I crocheted my own lace border and then added some fine Satin Ribbon. I think it looks very pretty, what do you think? I also made the paper flower, I sponged the borders and crumbled up all the pieces of Patterned Paper and added a silver brad in the center.
I embossed the Innocent Pink CS piece using Textile folder and matted with a piece of Lemon Drop CS and added some straight stitches. Some pearls were added in the right corner.

Card Recipe:
Card Stock: White, Lemon Drop, Innocent Pink (Gina K. Designs)
Stamp: Spring Florals (Gina K. Designs)
Ink: Espresso (Adirondack), Tea Dye (Ranger).
Embellishments: Cream Classic Crochet Thread, Yellow Satin Ribbon (Offray), Pearls, Silver Brads (Jo-Ann's)
Accessories: Sewing machine, white thread, Textile folder, Cuttlebug, Scallop Circle Punch (Fiskars), Daubers, Foam Tape.

Hope you like it.
Have a great day!!
