Cookie Challenge: Watch Parts.

Hello my friends! Hope you are having a great day! I am having a better day today, you may not known, but I have been having really bad sinus problems, believe me really bad, fever, headache, earache, tiredness, you name it, I have it. But today is a new day and it is beautiful here, sunny and warm (66F), the perfect temperature to do some yard work, LOL. I mowed half of my yard because the mower run out of gas :), I sat on the fresh grass and drank some cold water and enjoyed time talking to my daughter. I feel much better and I am planning on having a good stamping time today. I haven't stamped in days ( you know why) and even though my desk needs to be cleaned, I am planning to ink my fingers today :)

Anyway, today is time for another Cookie Challenge (the last one) and Susan challenged the DT to create a card using Watch Parts Set. I created a CAS card. I used Kraft CS, sponged borders  and stamped the watch. The number area was cut with Circle Nestabilities and adhered with Foam Tape. I added a Silver brad in the center and also some Pearls in the right corner.

Card recipe:
Card Stock: Kraft (SU)
Ink: Rich Cocoa (Memento), Ginger (Adirondack)for sponging.
Embellishments: Pearls, Silver brad.
Accessories: Circles Nestabilities, Foam Tape, Dauber.

Now, head over to Susan's blog and answer the question posted there to have the chance to win this set!

Good luck.
Have a great day!

smARTworks Cookie Challenge: Fannie Mae

Hello again my friends. It is time to unveil another smARTworks Cookie Challenge. Few weeks ago Susan sent the DT member Fannie Mae set to work with. As soon as I saw the set my brain designed a Vintage card.
For my card I started with a piece of Cream-Ivory CS for my card base, followed by a piece of Purely pomegranate CS and some Making Memories PP "Lg. Floral Rouge Paperie" , all borders were sponged with Purely Pomegranate Ink. The image "Fannie Mae" was stamped in Cream CS using Memento Sweet Plum Ink. After that I added a pearl, I think it is the perfect touch. Finally I added some Purely Pomegranate Satin ribbon.
The inside of my card was decorated too.

Hope you like it.

Now head over to Susan's blog and check out the other DT member creations and also have the chance to win your own "Fannie Mae Set".

Have a great afternoon.

Piggy Dreams

Hello my friends. At smARTworks we are back on our Smart Cookie Challenges. Every couple of months Susan sends us a stamp set to work with and all the creations are revealed on the same day, just like today!! This time we got Piggy Dreams Set, a whimsy cutie set.

So this what I created.: I designed my own clouds and grass, cut them out and adhered to my card with Dimensionals and Stickles. I made a 3D-piggy. I stamped the pig twice on Blush Blossom CS, I cut them out and then using a craft knife I cut between the union of the body and the wing and added the extra wing from the secon image I cut it out. Hello my friends, I hope you are having a great day!! Did you hear on the news about the weirdest weather in Washington State?? Yes!! Yesterday from 7 am to 10 am we had snow!!! DD woke me up telling me it was snowing, I got up and yes it was. Around 8 am, the snow shower weather became something like a snow storm, the flakes were huge!!! I didn't know if laughed or cried, after that we had some beautiful sunshine that melted everything, then the day turned gray, dark and darker, lighting and thunders, rain and more rain. So yesterday was one of those days I really don't like.

Anyway, today is a new day, bright and sunny and also time to mention about smARTworks Cookie Challenge. Susan sent us Grow On Set and challenged us to create a project with it.
I created a card, I stamped the image (twice) in a White CS using Stazon Black, then colored them with Watercolor pencils and Markers. I cut out a couple of flowers and positioned them on top for more dimension. I added some silver brads and ribbon. Pretty simple, but pretty card.

Card Recipe:

Accessories: Watercolored pencils, Markers, Glitter, stamp-a-ma-jig, SU Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots.
