Mojo, mojo, where are you?

Hello my friends! First, I want to thank all of you who made a comment or sent me e-mails about my daughter's health. She is doing a lot better, she is coughing, but no fever or pain, so that makes me feel much better.
Yesterday, she went back to school and I cleaned and disinfected my house. I do that anytime anybody gets sick here. :)
I also cleaned and organized my craft room, I just needed a little kick so my mojo could flow, but it didn't. After that I was so tired that I rested all night. Today, my craft room still nice and organized, I haven't been able to do anything, so sad.

Here is a picture of my room with the before and after picture.

I will try to create something tonight.

A nice frame :)

Hello my friends! Hope you are having a great day. Today I want to show a project I made a couple of weeks ago, submitted and didn't make the cut. I really love this frame, if you are a regular to my blog, you know I don't make altered work very often, but after this and other projects I will show you in few weeks, I really love them! The only problem is that they are a little bit more expensive to create.
I used a picture of my sweet daughter when she was 3.5 years old. Sure time flies, she is almost 8!!! Love her cute smile and Asian eyes. Believe or not Asian genes are very strong. My great-grandfather was from China (according to my family genealogy) and the gene still present :)

Anyway, the Moxie Fab World Blog is having a Die-Cutting Challenge and I think this project fits it perfectly because I die-cut a lot of things :)

  • Mark on you PP where the window frame is going to be and cut it out. Adhere PP to frame and ink all edges with Vintage Photo and Tea Dye Distress Ink.
  • Stamp flowers and leaves onto CS. Die-cut flowers and leaves and ink all edges using the same stamping pad color.(Check out the Frame recipe for the whole list of flower and leave dies)
  • Rub Perfect Pearls in all flower and leaves, then all Gold Gala Glitz in every edge.
  • Mount flowers and adhere them as well as the leaves to frame.
  • Add picture and you are done :)

Frame Recipe:
  • Cardstock: Core'dinations "Sandtrap, Baby Pink, Basil"
  • Stamps: Daisy Patch Flowers, Posy Patch Flowers. Bella Rose Leaves, Botanical Flower 1 & 2, Open Falling Leaves (All by Heartfelt Creations)
  • Dies: Daisy Patch Dies, Posy Patch Dies, Bella Rose Dies, Falling Leaves Dies (Heartfelt Creations),  Rose Creation Shapeabilities (Spellbinders)
  • Ink: Tea Dye Distress, Vintage Photo Distress, Victorian Velvet Distress (Ranger Industries)
  • Other: Gold Gala Glitz, Zip Paper Glue, Heat glue gun, Crystal Lacquer, Sponges, Gold Brads.
Hope you like it.
Your comments are appreciated.

Happy New Year 2012!! and some exciting news.

Hello my friends!! I hope you all had a great New Year's Eve and are enjoying the first day of this new year.
I pretty much watched TV last night until midnight and talked to all my siblings and dad in Peru! That was really cool. I love and miss my family very much and I hope this year I can travel there, I really want to meet (in person) my 2 nieces and nephew, also enjoy all the yummy Peruvian food I can't get here.

Anyway, I planned to make a card, but I didn't, not because I didn't want, I have the image colored already, but I am having a really bad earache, if you have had one of those, the pain is really bad. Not complaining though, just enjoying this time with my family, watching a lot of TV (I usually don't) and playing Wii games with my daughter :)

Also, I have some exciting news to share with you. Starting today I am officially a Design Team Member of Sweet'n Sassy Stamps, you can find the announcement HERE! This January 5th is the new release and I have some cute projects for you! Hope you can join me.

Also, I am the new DT Coordinator for Love My Tapes, I have to admit I am learning a lot of things and the DT help is fantastic! the DT and I are preparing some cool projects for CHA. I can't wait to show them to you. Love My Tapes Blog is going to have challenges so you can win fabulous products!!

Well, I think I have everything here, hope you enjoy your day/night with your family.

    Happy New Year 2012!!
    Wishing you all the best.

    Giovana
