Where in the world is Giovana??

Hello my friends! How are you all doing? I hope you are doing really good! Well, I have been absent for a while, my November 1st post was scheduled in October, anyways, last October 31st, I was doing my regular stuff, working and everything and my calf muscle decided to tear and change my schedule {insert sad face}. Since that day I have not been able to walk, crutches are not fun and my life is quite boring and I get a little bit stressed and depressed.
I have never had any major problems with my legs, so it is amazing how much I need my legs. Anyway, I can't be in my craft room since I need to have my leg up, I have few things in my dining room and I will try to get crafty soon.
Me on Nov 3rd, my birthday.
Anyways, let me show you a couple of projects I made for Crafter's Companion HSN show (last Tuesday show), sadly my projects didn't make it to the show, but just in case you got some of the amazing products, I hope these can give you some inspiration.

These cards are showcasing the new foil transfers!! They are so cute and very easy to use.

Submitting these projects to Word Art Wednesday Challenge: Anything goes.

Hope you like them!
Have a great day!

Hello, I am back!

Hello everyone! How is everybody doing? As you can see, my posts for the last month were just few, well, I went on vacation for a whole month to my beautiful Peru! It was really nice to see their faces again after more than 12 years. I had the most amazing time with my family, I ate all the food I can't get/find here in the US, I enjoyed the long talks and stayed up until late. It was hard to leave, but I am already planning my next trip, hopefully soon.

We came back last Tuesday, but I had to deal with laundry, yard work, unpacking (goodness!!) and work!! I am working on new projects for upcoming releases plus a couple of fun blog hops!

So, now you know why my post were just few, sharing with you few of the many pictures I have from my trip. (I survived with cellphone pictures, my beautiful Nikon had an accident and now it's resting in peace, but don't worry, I already got a new camera, it is a Canon and I love it!)

Have an amazing day!!

Thursday, September 8

Hello!

Hello my friends! Wow, it has been awhile since my last post, considering all my last 5 post were pre-scheduled. Last weekend my family and I went to a family retreat to a Christian Ranch, it was fantastic!! I met new people, great Bible studies and a lot of fun. My daughter had so much fun that every night she fell asleep as soon as her head touched the pillow, LOL.
On Monday afternoon, we came back home and we all were very tired so we decided to buy some healthy sandwich at a place that says eat fresh, anyways, I got a really bad stomache and my daughter got food poisoning, poor little girl, she was so sick it was not fun. She missed school yesterday, she went today, but still not much appetite.

Anyway, just to let you know I am alive and I have a couple of post already ready to go.

Have a great day!!

Check this out!

Hello my friends, I don't have a card for you today (yet), but I want to show something I've been working on. If you follow my blog, you may know DD's birthday party is coming soon, so I decided that instead of lots of candy for the party favor I wanted to include something the little girls could use. So I decided to make some flower barrets !! I have spent like 3 nights making the flowers and yesterday I glued them and decorated them.
I haven't finished the party favor for 3 of the girls that are a little bit older.

PS:The embroidery floss I used is from Brazil and Peru. I used to do a lot of cross stitch and I have tons of embroidery!!
Hope you like them!!

2 challenges, 1 stamp set and a Happy Birthday!!

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a great day! I woke up today with a tummy ache and it doesn't go away! It is bothering me really bad. I am having a very slow day, I was planning on posting this early, but.. now you know why I couldn't. Anyway, enough of me and moving forward to show you a couple of cards I made for a couple of challenges using "Spring Florals" by Gina K. Designs. and also participating in the Color Challenge Blog Hop.

Easter Blessings: For this card I used Creme de Menthe, Lovely Lavender and a bit of Lemon Drop. I stamp the image on White PL CS in Stazon Black, colored it with Prismacolor Pencils, cut out the second image and positioned it on top for a 3D look. I used my oval Nestabilities to cut and emboss and sponge the image.
I added some CB BG and straight stitches. I based my card on the sketch from 2S4U.

Card recipe:
Card Stock: Creme de menthe, Lovely lavender, Lemon Drop.
Stamp: Srping Florals.
Ink: Stazon Black, Memento Sweet Plum.
Embellishments: Ribbon, Pearls, Diamond Stickles.
Accessories: Sewing machine, Cuttlebug, Embossing folder, Daubers, Sticky foam.

Birthday Wishes: For this card I used Creme de Menthe, Innocent Pink and White PL CS. The image was stamped in White PL CS in Stazon Black, colored with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with OMS. I added some of the flowers and leaves for a 3D look, after that I added some Diamond Glaze. The image was cut, embossed and sponged using Circle Nestabilities.
I based my card on the Mojo Monday Sketch.

Card Recipe:
Card Stock: Creme de Menthe, Innocent Pink, White.
Paper: Baby Girl (Heidi Grace Designs)
Stamps: Spring Florals.
Ink: Stazon Black.
Embellishments: Pink Satin Ribbon (Offray), Pearls.
Accessories: Sewing machine, Cuttlebug, Textile embossing folder, Medium Glue dots, daubers.

Tip, tip: In order to give my image a much real look, I used Glue dots instead of Sticky foam, they work much better!! Hope this tip help you.

And finally, I want to wish my beautiful niece Johanna a Happy Birthday! She is turning 17 today! WOW, I can't believe it. It looks like yesterday when she was born, sadly the same day my uncle passed away. It is amazing how dead also bring life.
I love my niece very much and I miss her a lot!! She is very funny, sweet and the most honest person. Anytime I talk to her, we laugh a lot!! Happy Birthday Johy!! Wishing you the best!

A Personal note.

Hello my friends! I hope you all are having an awesome day. I have been quiet for few days, sadly my mojo has been gone and I don't like that. In addition of that, I started homeschooling my daughter last week, and everyday I find something new to do and more stuff to fill, more phone calls to do and the list is endless. Amazingly my daughter is having Computer lesson too and she is only 5!! Of course I am not teaching her that, LOL, she is taking online courses, it doesn't crazy, but it is true. She already got a Certificate of Completion : Mouse Basics: Select, Drag and Double Click.
In other things I have been taking naps and the weirdest thing is I am not a nap person, I don't like naps, but lately I've been doing it. Just in case I am taking Multivitamins too and I try to sleep 8 hours everyday.
Anyway, maybe you don't care about of these things, I hope I can get some inspiration tonight or tomorrow and show you something new.

God bless you all.

I thought of you today

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a great day. I am pretty much enjoying summer time. Today we are hitting 102 F!! It is hot here. This morning I decided to mow the lawn and I ended up like a tomato, LOL. During my mowing adventure (the pushing/walking mower) I saw something bouncing around, I got curious and I found out it was a mouse, yikes!!! I am super scared of mice, yeap, may sound funny, but I don't like those critters. I let him ran away and I finished my job. Now, my back yard looks much better, :) :) We have weeds to pull, but any other day, too hot to work outside.
Anyway, today I have a shiny card for you. I played the sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You. I decided to go Monochromatic, I think my card turned out really pretty. I used Natural CS (SU) and stamped the images using White Craft Ink and then applied Gold Embossing powder. After that I cut it in 4 squares and sewed them onto another piece of Naturals CS. I attached some Green Lime Ribbon. The sentiment was stamped in Basic Brown Ink.

Card Recipe:
Card Stock: Naturals (SU).
Stamps:
Cookie Plate: Botanical.
Ink: White Craft. Basic Brown. Pistachio and Gold ( sponging)
Embellishments: Green Lime Satin Ribbon (Offray), Green Rhinestones (Kaiser Crafts)
Accessories: Sewing machine, Sponges. stamp-a-ma-jig, embossing gun, Mini glue dots, SU Dimensionals
.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter !!! I hope you are having a great time with your family. We are having a family time, will go to church and enjoy our time together. Later we will have dinner together at a local Restaurant and the nwe will enjoy some yummy homemade Chocolate cheesecake.
I think with the years every Holiday gets more and more commercial and that is sad. My daughter was talking about Easter the other day, you know bunnies, eggs, new shoes, new dress, but then I asked her what are we celebrating? She looked at me and say Jesus. I explained her what Easter is about, she got it, then when my husband came home from work she was so happy to tell daddy what and why we are celebrating Easter. We don't worship a dead Jesus because He resurrected, He is Alive, Risen!!! Thank you Lord for your love.
I hope you enjoy the real menaing of Easter.

In other things, I have few pictures to share with you. Last Wednesday I invited my neighbor to have dinner with us, so I made some Yakisova noddles and Banana Bread. I always add chocolate chips to my BB, it was yummy!! It didn't last for too long, LOL.

And, on Thursday DD and I dyed some eggs, she had a lot of fun coloring eggas and of course some of the dye inked her fingers and mine too, LOL, Isn't she adorable??

Hope you have a great Family Sunday.
Happy Easter and God bless you.

I'll be back in few days.

Hello everyone, I hope you all are doing great. Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I've been busy and busier with house stuff, in addittion of that we are dealing with a mice situation, I am getting sick because of that, you may know I have asthma and any time I see one of those critters my asthma gets really bad, may sound funny but I am feeling sick right now.

Tomorrow is DD 5th birthday and today she starts her swimming lessons, she is really excited about that. She is till coughing but nothing too bad. DH's birthday is this Saturday so I have planned at Birthday Party this Saturday to celebrate both birthdays.

I hope you can come back in few days.
Have a wonderful day and blessed day.

No cards today

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing great. I don't have a card for you today, my mojo took a trip to somewhere land, LOL. Tomorrow I promise to post something for you. In case you wonder how DD is doing today, well let me tell you, she slept all night, she is not coughing much, but still sick, she has had a couple of bad cough crisis and I felt the pain any time she was in the bathroom, poor baby. Yesterday I took her to the doctor, and her Dx is Upper Respiratory Infection, so she is taking antibiotics now and other medicines to relieve her coughing. Yesterday she run a fever all day, thank God she didn't today, so it is a big relieve for me.

If you stop by and leave her a message I will read it to her, she loves when she gets real mail and I think a word from you will make her happy :)

Have a great and healthy day.
God bless

Two cards and a Peruvian dessert!!

Hello everyone, if anyone there??? I have to say that my mojo has been gone for almost a week, OH MY!!! I tried to stamp several times, but after trying to mix colors ans papers and inks, I gave up, no mojo, no inspiration, no nothing {insert sad face}. The posts from last week were all previously set up. Anyway, I spent my week having time with my family, baking and just planning few things I want to do in the next few weeks. I also spent time praying, sometimes we (Christians) don't spend much time praying. I needed to do it, so many things to pray for, it feels so good being in the presence of the Lord and you can feel His Love.

Today, I finally have some time stamping!!!! Nothing really complicated, actually very easy cards, but they reflect what I have been doing this week.

Praying for You: The image was stamped in a piece of DP using also White Craft Ink, the sentiment was stamped in Basic Brown. I added 2 Clear rhinestones on the corner and a little bow on the image.

Cookie Plate and Combo Sentiments by smARTworks.
Ink: White Craft, Basic Brown.

Also I want to show you a Peruvian Dessert I made this week, it is called "ALFAJORES", they are delicious, very delicate and super soft. Last Thursday I spent time baking with Becca, of course what she wanted the most was to lick the spoon and taste more and more Crema de Leche, yummy!!!
Here few pictures of my delicious Alfajores!!!!!

Hello everybody!!!

Hello!! I hope you all had a great Christmas. We did have a great time together. On Christmas Eve we went to church and sang some Christmas Carols, we enjoyed the little kids choir, it was a really fun time looking at them singing, of course some of them they were looking for their parents or just looking around.
On Christmas Day, Rebecca got up at 7:15 as I told her night before, she told me that she wanted to open present after breakfast so that's what we did.
I have been spending time with my family and playing UNO with Becca, I think from all the presents she got the UNO game is her favorite, LOL.
We have played outside too, this was not too much fun for me because here has been REALLY COLD!!! but kids don't care about that, when she was playing in the snow I was shoveling snow, LOL.
Anyway, my MOJO has been taking a break too, I hope is back tomorrow so I can post something here.

Rebecca posing before starting playing in the snow

Me and my good friend Amy !!! Christmas Party, Cle ELum, WA 2008

I hardly post pictures of me, maybe because I am not photogenic and I prefer to post my cards, LOL. My family was invited to the Christmas party in Cle ELum, we lived there before we moved to Yakima, we were so glad to see our old friends, Thanks Amy for the invitation!!!

I am not posting my Christmas pictures because we all were wearing PJ, LOL.

Thanks so much for stopping by and stay tune because my Blogaversary is coming.

God bless

Some random news

Hello everyone, just in case you are wondering where I have been, well, let me tell you these last days have been crazy and busy and I am still alive. We have been praying for snow and we finally got it, yesterday we had snow for hours, my DD was so excited and happy!!! To be honest I was very happy too, my yard doesn't look too bad when everything is just white, LOL. The temperature dropped so fast that it wasn't funny anymore. This morning when we were ready to go to church it was only 18F, I was horrify. I have learned how to deal with the cold weather (because in Lima, Peru we don't have this temperatures), but today was the worst day I think. In addition of that, the wind was so strong that made it worst. After church we went to Costco and then to Walmart, after that I got a horrible headache, I came home and took a nap, didn't help much. Tonight we expect -2F, so I am not planning to go anywhere, too cold!!!

The last three days I haven't felt very good. I have a horrible pain in my upper tummy. I can hardly eat, and if I eat something I go to the bathroom to throw up. I will go to the doctor tomorrow and I hope this is nothing bad. A lady form church told me maybe is my gall bladder, I hope not. (This sounds funny, but all my sisters and aunts have had theirs removed)

I hope tomorrow I can finish the projects I started few days ago.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

God bless

Sad news.

Hello everyone. I hope you are having a great Saturday. As many of you knew my Father-in-law was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. The last year has been a roller coaster for him and the family. In a year he didn't recognized us, he lost a lot of weight, then suddenly he had a massive general infection, he didn't want to walk and few days ago he refused to eat. He was pushed to do it. Last night we received a call from my MIL letting us know he passed away.
My husband is sad, but at the same time in peace knowing his dad doesn't have more pain and he is in Heaven, rejoicing with the Lord.

I don't know if I will be able to make a post in a while, I have some projects to do, but I don't know if I will have time to make them. We live more than 3 hours away from them, so this is going to be a different week for us.

Your prayers are appreciate it.
God bless

I am back!!!

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a great day. I am back from my trip to the West side to WA State and I haven't had time to ink my fingers yet. I think after a week without stamping my MOJO decided to have a break, too sad. Last week my posts were set up and it has been a very sad week. We attended a funeral last Wednesday, very sad time, Rebecca was asking so many questions about it, it was her first time attending a funeral. We tried our best to answer all her questions and I think we did a good job. Last Thursday we visited my FIL, it was a very hard moment for us, he has Alzheimer and his health condition is not the best. We were happy to find him awake, we talked to him and he looked at us trying to say something. He spends more of his time sleeping and most of time he is awake only for his meals.
Rebecca sang a couple of songs and he looked content. It was a really hard moment for my husband. we live in the other side of the Mountains, so it is very hard to make trips very often.

On Saturday I did a lot of laundry, I was exhausted and then my husband told me he wasn't feeling very good. Saturday night my poor husband couldn't breath and started coughing. Sunday, he spent most of his day sleeping, I think he got a cold (a really bad one). He called this morning to the Medical Center and our primary doctor is not there today and also the receptionist told him he is not on the system, WHAT!!??!! He has been there before, so he has to wait until tomorrow.

Anyway, I hope I can find some time to stamp today. Don't forget about the Paper Craft Magazine Give Away, just check my Wednesday and Thursday posts for details.

Have a great day
God bless you

Happy Birthday Jeremy!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEREMY!!!!

Today is my nephew's 1st Birthday!!!! . Last year, I traveled all the way from the West Coast to the East Coast to help my sister with her kids while she was in the hospital. I spent there my Birthday and enjoyed so much that time. Rebecca enjoyed that too!!!

Here is Jeremy 20 days old. He was a big boy, almost 9 pounds!!

Here is him now!!! Isn't he a cutie pie.
We love you Jeremy. Many blessing to you. Eat all your food so your mommy doesn't get crazy, LOL.
