God bless America

Hello friends! Today is a day that we will never forget. I remember I went to the store after my English class at the American Institute (in Peru), I always took the 7-9 am class so then I could head to work or home  and have extra time to do other things. That day I didn't have to go to work, went to the store to get a card for my future husband, got to home and my sister was crying, a lot of chaos everywhere.  Today, I remembered, I prayed and I cried for all of one who lost their love ones that day, I can not image the pain.

So, today I want to share a very special card, this one uses a brand new stamp from Crafter's Companion "Statue of Liberty"
This card is super simple, it was colored with Spectrum Noir Markers and Pencils. The sentiment was colored with pencils and die-cut using a circle die. I added stitches and voila!!

Here is the list of Spectrum Noir markers and pencils I used:

Statue of Liberty: TB1, TB2, TB3, TB4, GT1, GB5
Bricks: EB1, EB2, TN2, BG3
Trees: CG1, DG2, CG4
Dots: LY2
Spectrum Nor Pencils: 016 (Outline)
Sentiment was colored with: CR6, TB4

Hope you like it!
God bless America.

Pumpkin Girl Card!!

Hello friends! Halloween is around the corner and although I don't celebrate it, I have a super cute pumpkin girl with pretty lashes card for you!

This card was super fun and relax to make! I like the pumpkin shape die by itself, but after die-cutting the Top Dog Dies Pumpkin Album Die I decided to draw few lines here and there with Spectrum Noir Pencils and blend them with a stump and a blending solution. I started with a lightest orange color pencils and increased the color as I was feeling more comfortable with the design.
After finishing the coloring/drawing design I die-cut the Top Dog Dies Pumpkin Album Finishers Die Set in Black Shimmering cardstock, the little leaves are in green and polka dot green patterned paper, then I thought it would fun to add some vines, and I took the swirl from Top Dog Dies Butterfly Finishers Die Set and voila! Card done! I added orange twine to the side.

Here are the dies I used for this project:

Crafter's Companion September Challenge "Autumn"

Hello friends! Happy Monday to you all. I hope your day is beautiful and amazing. I had a very relaxed weekend, didn't do much, yeah, perfect weekend!! I enjoyed a nice warm picnic with our church yesterday, some adults and kids got baptized and then we all had good times talking, eating, kids playing around!

Anyway, today, I have a really pretty card for you.  I made this card for Crafter's Companion September Challenge "Autumn". I chose this beautiful "Sunflower" image to create my "Autumn" project, isn't this sumflower image adorable?

To color the image I used Distress Ink pads : Wild Honey, Mustard Seed, Vintage Photo, Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Peeled Paint, just squeezed a bit onto my craft sheet and used a fine paint brush and spray mist with water to dilute the color or get as much or little I wanted. I used regular cardstock, I used my heating tool after coloring a layer so the cardstock didn't peel.
After that, I covered the center of sunflowers with Crystal Lacquer and added clear glitter. Stitches and ribbon were added, just kept it simple :)

Hope you can join us and play along with us for your chance to win $30 GC to Crafter's Companion Store!! All details about this challenge can be found HERE.

Before I go, I want to show you a picture of one of my sunflowers!! I planted them for the first time this year, they are HUGE and beautiful!!

Proverbs 4:23

Hello friends! It's Friday!! School has officially started everywhere around the country, weather is changing, leaves just starting to change colors and other are falling, I can smell Fall in the air, my favorite season!!  Thins are quieting down here, a lot of baking and freezing in the near future, ohhh feels like I am dreaming :)

Anyways, today I have a very simple yet pretty card for you! I used a Latina Crafter stamp with a Bible verse "Guarda tu corazón", this is one of my favorite Bible verses and I think the first I memorized.

Proverbs 4:23New International Version (NIV)

23
Above all else, guard your heart,

for everything you do flows from it.

I created a diagonal background on a piece of Kraft cardstock with embossing paste and a dot stencil, while the paste was still wet but a bit firm I added yellow glitter and heated it up, it bubbled a little bit. Love the result. I stamped the leaves from the set "Sólo porque" and cut them out. The verse was stamped and die-cut on a piece of yellow textured cardstock in St. Valentine Archival Ink (my new favorite ink), then I die-cut a label shape from this die set and adhered them together with foam adhesive. Added all the pieces to card panel, the final touched were little drops of White and Ruby Liquid Pearls. I scored around the edges (.25") and TA-DA!!! Card was done.

Spooky Eye with a hat Tutorial

Hello friends! Today, I am bringing you a super fun and spooky tutorial. I do not celebrate Halloween, but when I saw the new stamps I thought that could be fun to make something different. I had so many ideas and I hope you like this decor I created.

So let's get started!
  •  Add more lines using a ultra fine black and red marker.

  •  Now, put all the pieces together. I punch a little circle from Green Envy Shimmering Cardstock and add it to black piece.
  • Color the hat from "Best Witches" set. I use Spectrum Noir Markers: IG1, IG2, IG3, IG4, IG5, IG6, OR1, OR1, PL4. Then cut it out, add circle foam adhesive and adhere it to the big circle.
  •  Add the creepy eye to the square panel. Add cheese cloth to the corners, then sprinkle orange glitter.

This is how it looks after all!!

Halloween Mini cards set

Hello friends! Halloween is just around the corner and I have for you these set of easy mini cards!! I have to say I don't celebrate it, but this year I have created some Halloween projects you will see in the following days and weeks :)

So, for these projects I used Top Dog Dies Halloween Trio Die Set, all the cards are super simple, I die-cut the trio in White and Black Shimmering cardstock and mounted in black and white to create a little shadow.

Here are them and few details:

For this card I embossed the orange cardstock to give it a little bit more of textured. For the sentiment I used the Top Dog Dies Banner #1 Set and added a pretty bright orange ribbon. To make it a little bit more fun, I added glasses to the cat, this die is from Top Dog Dies Photo Props Die Set.

For this card I added the black ghost first, then added the white with foam adhesive, sequins and black twine were added to spook you a little bit (just kidding).

For this last card, I adhered the bats and add a little bow made with black twine. Stamped the sentiment on orange cardstock and added black and orange sequins.

Hope you like them!!
Have a fantastic day!

With all my love

Hello friends! Hope you all here in the US had a great Labor Day Weekend. We traveled to see my in-laws, had a good time there. Today, I did yard work (work that never ends), hopefully it will be one of the last ones for the season.
Anyway, I came back home and wanted to play the Butterfly Reflections Ink Labor Day Challenge and I did!! A bit late but I did and I am very happy because I haven't crafted in more than a week {wink, wink}

The challenge is about your favorite season and mine is... FALL!! Perfect weather, I am not a fan of hot weather, although I like summer because I can garden, LOL.

And this is the card I made. I used this pretty Sunflower stamp and the sentiment is from Flowers from Bamboo by Crafter's Companion. I colored the image with Distress Inks, I used Wild Honey, Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold, Brushed Corduroy, Peeled Paint, Broken China and Tumbled Glass. Added few turquoise sequins and cover the image with Crystal Lacquer and the card was done!
I used the sketch #90 from CAS(E) this sketch.

Our lives are like quilts

Hello friends! Sharing this super cool card today. I really love the sentiment in this set from Crafter's Companion. Few years ago, I decided I wanted to make a quilt, I always love to sew and I thought it would be fun to make one for my daughter, I bought all the fabrics I liked, and the thread, and extra materials. After few cuts and a lot of ironing, I started sewing, all the piece were uneven, I cried (now I am laughing), I tried it again and the same thing happened. I decided to try something else and that's how I found paper crafting!! I still have all the little pieces of quilt in a big box, my daughter found it the other day and asked me what my plans are for all that fabric, LOL. I bet she has a plan already.

Anyway, I will share with you how I made this card! Super easy

Glittery Ombre Tutorial

Hello friends! Today, I am sharing a super easy tutorial!! You have probably seen something similar, but this time you are not going to waste a bit of your products! Promise {wink, wink}

For this project I created an ombre background using Embossing Paste and Glitter! Super easy and you can make this in any color you like/want.

Let get started!

  • Secure your mat to a piece of cardstock (here I used white) with removable tape or washi tape.

  •  Combine White Embossing Paste and 2 drops of Faded Jeans Distress Ink, mix well.

  • Apply it to left part of your piece, then add "more embossing paste" to soft the blue and apply to the middle part (I applied it diagonally)

  •  Mix 1 more time the remaining past with more embossing paste to apply to your right bottom corner (your softest color)

  •  Add clear glitter to piece, use your heat gun to set it.

*Sentiment from Lots to Say (Reverse Confetti)
*Flowers from Painted Flower (Altenew)
