Today is World Card Making Day!! , Heart to heart card drive and a giveaway!!

Hello my crafty friends!! and Happy World Card Making Day! I hope you are having a very crafty day. I told my husband that today I will not do much because I just wanted to have fun creating, his answer was "Are you going to use the computer too? LOL, of course I said, hahaha. Of course, my day started making breakfast, cleaning the house and other things and it didn't start as I really wanted, but now I have free time and I am going to enjoy it.

I made 2 cards to celebrate!! I mixed them with several challenges because I love challenges :)

You're one in a million:

I created this card for "Heart to Heart Card Drive" to thank all the Alzheimer's Caregivers. I was really touched when Cammie decided to do this again because my FIL died due this almost 2 years ago.

The stamps I used are from Heartfelt Creations, the water can is from Posy Patch Garden Delights PreCut Set", the sentiment is from Hydrangea/ Posy Branch PreCut Set", the flowers were cut-out with Daisy Patch Diecuts Nesties.

For this card I used the following challenges:
Flowers & Lace/Dollies: City Crafter Challenge.
Punches: Tuesday Throwdown.
Anything by A2 Card + Ribbon : Flourishes

Directions:
  • Make card from cardstock. (This one is a 6" x 6")
  • Mat a piece of cardstock and patterned paper and add zig-zag stitches. Add a piece of yellow cardstock  in the center and add zig-zag stitches as well.
  • Stamp image and color it. Cut it out and distress and ink edges.
  • Die-cut (or punch) flowers and adhere them to the water can. Add ribbon and lace to card.
  • Adhere image with foam tape and liquid pearls all around.
  • Stamp sentiment and Adhere flower.
  • Inside: Add a piece of yellow cardstock. Die-cut (Punch) border and adhere to card.

Card Recipe:
  • Cardstock: Lilac & Yellow (DCWV), White (SU).
  • Patterned Paper Clothesline Collection (Yellow Little Bicycle)

  21. Wow what beautiful cards & ideas.
I found your site by accident nosing at Baby Bud Designs blog.
I know I have missed WCMD but I am making some cards at the moment to donate to to a charity I raise funds for here in the UK - The MS Society.
This is a personal charity to me as I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 5 years ago & had to give up work 2 years ago.
I still try to make as many cards as I can on my 'good days' but surf the web when I am having a bad day to get ideas and see what everyone else is up to.
Keep up the great cards, now i've found you I have added you to my favourites & can keep a look out what you do next.
    Have a great weekend all
