Latina Crafter's New release!!

Hello friends! It's me again! This time, I have for you a couple of projects featuring new stamp just released by Latina Crafter! These sets are perfect for coloring or paper piecing. Also, I used a couple of stencils, yes Latina Crafter is carrying stencils, you can check them out HERE, I have them all and I can tell you something, they are great quality and the price is super duper amazing!!

Ok, now let me show you the cards I made using these two set, Latina Crafter is releasing more, if you would like to see them all, check them out HERE.

Pocahontas: Super cute and fun set! I used the puntos (circle) stencil on a piece of Kraft cardstock, applied white embossing paste and set aside to dry. Then, I stamped the image on a piece of White cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored it with Spectrum Noir Markers, then die-cut, stenciled and embossed the image. Stamped the sentiment on a banner in Jet Black Archival ink, added a couple of arrow wood veneers and a  paper flower (from the July Kit). Added all the pieces to a white cardstock card base.
Spectrum Noir Markers used:
  • Skin: FS2, FS3
  • Hair: TN2, TN3, TN4, TN5
  • Eyes: IG1, IG2, IG3, HB1
  • Feathers: BG1, BG2, GG2, GG3
  • Headband and belt: CR3, CR5
  • Dress: BT1, BT2, BT3, BT4, IB2, IB3
  • Butterfly: LY1, LY2, LY3, GB6, TN2

=============================================

Picnic Girl: Another cute image. For this card I wanted to create a summer picture and I think I got it {wink, wink}. Here I started with a white cardstock card base, then I cut a panel from textured yellow cardstock, then I mixed white embossing paste with 2 drops of pink reinker, mixed it very well and applied using a chevron stencil, set aside to dry. For the image, I stamped it on white cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored it with Spectrum Noir markers. Stamped the sentiment on a piece of textured pink cardstock in Jet Black archival, die-cut the piece using a ticket shape die. I also die-cut a sun and clouds, inked all the edges and added all the pieces to the white card base.
Spectrum Noir markers used:

  • Hair: TN2, TN3
  • Headband: CR8
  • Skin: FS1, FS2, FS5
  • Dress: CR3, CR4, CR5

School has started for some kids and soon every single kid will be back at school, so this month the Crafter's Companion Challenge is "Back to School", the theme is big and it has so many possibilities. Here are the details:

  • Stamp front bear on Ultra Smooth Premium Cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black. Then score cardstcok, cut the front.
  • Stamp the back of the image on your stamp-a-majig and make it fit with your front image. After that cut it out.

More Christmas in July

Hello friends! Hope you all are having a great day! Today is the last day of the month, oh my! in few weeks my daughter is back to school and then we have to start preparing everything for Christmas!! I know, you don't want to have the cold weather (I am not a cold weather person), but I prefer a warm cup of cocoa in a cold winter morning than 110 degrees, that's too much, LOL.

Anyway, just in case you want to be prepared, Crafter's Companion has a really nice selection of Christmas set from the Vintage Christmas Collection. Let me show you the cards I have for you today using a couple of these sets.

There's snow one like you. For this card I used "Let it snow" set, die-cut the sentiment with circle dies, then I die-cut snowflakes using Candy Red Shimmering cardstock, I cut a panel from Patterned paper and added a bigger piece of Candy Red Shimmering cardstock and added stitches, then added a very thin piece of Gold Dust Shimmering cardstock and added stitches as well. Then added the snowflakes, the sentiment and pearls. I used the panel to a scored piece of Ultra Premium White Cardstock.

For this second card, I used Vintage Christmas - Family and Friends set. I stamped it on a piece of Ultra Premium White Cardstock, then die-cut it. Then I created these 2 cute gift boxes, super easy! I used a couple of little scraps of Candy Red Shimmering cardstock, embossed them with Splendour Embossing Folder and Petite Dot Embossing Folder, then I added super thin strips of metal sheet direct to the piece and also curled some to add to the boxes. I added the  sentiment and boxes to a piece of  Gold Dust Shimmering cardstock. Finally, I added clear and red sequins to make it more festive :)

Top Dog Dies July Release Preview

Hello friends!! Today, Top Dog Dies is starting sneak peeking projects for our upcoming release, take note of the day: July 29th!! These new dies are amazing, you are going to love them all.

I have 2 projects for you today, showcasing some of them, so let's get started.

Relax: I have to confess I d not drink, but once in a while I get a Virgin Piña Colada, so delicious and refreshing. I think these dies are going to be your favorite for special occasions, friends get together, or just chill out!
My card is super simple. I used 3 new dies here: The cocktails die, the label die and the banners.
The cocktails glasses were die-cut in white cardstock and colored with Spectrum Noir Markers. I have some crushed glass (from many years ago) and added that to the glass tops.
The bottom banner was scored about 1/8" from each side of the word and then another 1/8" to fold it and create the new banner look.

Dies used here:

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Corset: A lot of great ideas to use this die! I went a little bit Vintage. For this card, I die-cut the corset twice, 1 in red and 1 in ivory, then I removed the cut pieces from the middle and bottom are, and added the ivory piece behind it to create a little bit of contrast. Then took a piece of patterned paper and added the banners in ivory to each corner and added zig zag stitches. Final touches were stitches on the patterned paper, paper flowers and ribbon.

** I think this corset die can be used both ways**

Here are the dies I used:

Also, 2 more dies coming in this month's release, I will show you  more projects soon.

Stay tuned, a super giveaway is coming!! Sadly, our DT Coord. is sick and is not in the office today, but it is coming!!
