Mojo Monday #56

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a great Monday. My sinus infection still on and active, arggghhh, I have good and bad days, yesterday was a really good day and I had some time to stamp after church. I played Mojo Monday 56 (from last week), but when I tried to get a good pic it was too late, so I had to wait until today for a good picture.
Anyway, my card has a lot of heat embossing and 3d effect, so my card also qualifies for October Project Parade by Verve. A lot of heat embossing, the small butterflies in the circle are embossed using gold ep. The big butterfly is embossed in gold ep as well, but on black CS. The flowers are stamped twice and positioned with 3D foam, I colored them with watercolor pencils, markers and them embossed using Clear e.p.
I stitched my second and third layer on CS, added some gold brads and the big butterfly has some mini rhinestones.
The pretty set is Cone flowers by smARTworks.

Mojo Monday #56

Red and White Chickadee

Happy Saturday everyone!! I am sick still, that bothers me really much. My headaches are still in, the sinus pressure is really bad and I think the antibiotics are not working :(
Today, I really wanted to stamp after a couple of days without inking my fingers, but I wait after my headache was not too bad, anyway enough of sickness.
Today I played Inspiration Challenge on SCS, really nice pillows on the Joom's Collection. I chose this pretty Read and White pillow. The pretty bird is Chickadee Wishes from smARTworks .


Card Recipe:
Card stock: White (GP), Real Red.

Ink: Embossing pad.
Embellishments: Silver brads, White Satin Ribbon.

Inspiration card

Hello everyone, today is Thursday, that means another challenge on Mothers and Daughters Creations Blog Challenge This week is an inspiration challenge. I have to admit that I had something in mind, but when my idea touched the paper, it was not good at all, so I decided to try on scraps first and then I came up with this.
The pretty glittery paper is Swirl & Holly from Best Creations Inc. The image is Titmouse from Serendipity. All the material can be found at MDC Store
For the image I colored it first with watercolor pencils, then I added some markers to give it more intensity and finally I added some glitter. I cut it out and positioned it with some 3D foam. My card is 5" square.

Cardstock: Blue, Burgundy, Black, White (for image)
Paper: Swirl & Holly from Best Creations Inc.
Stamps: Titmouse from Serendipity.
Ink: Black.
Embellishments: Gold brads, Gold thread, Glitter( blue, cristal, red)

Inspiration card

It's Tea Party Time

Hello everyone, it is Tea Party Time again!! This timeSusan is hosting the party and she gave us this pretty sketch to work with. I managed some time (before and after getting sick) to make 2 cards. I really love my cards this time, LOL I think they are really pretty. (Last Tea Party I didn't like my card and I was in a hurry creating another one and I was late posting)


Someone remembers: I used 2 different sets Daisy Trio #2 for the image and Daisy Trio #1 for the sentiment. I kept the sketch as the original format. I stamped the image using 3 different ink colors: Marigold Morning, Marigold (pigment) and Orange (pigment), then I used some clear embossing powder to give it the shiny look.

Card Recipe:
Card stock: River Rock, Only Orange, White.
Paper: DP BasicGrey.
Stamps: Daisy Trio #1, Daisy trio #2 by smARTworks.
Ink: Marigold Morning, True Thyme, Marigold (pigment), Orange (pigment).
Embellishments: Martha Stewart Rayon ribbon, Gold brads.
Accessories: Dimensionals, Mini glue dots.

Wishing you... For this card I flip the sketch. I used Chickadee Wishes set. I stamped the image twice using Pretty in Pink ink, then cut them out and positioned them using mini glue dots on the branches and Dimensionals on the bird. Them I sponged the borders of the brid with some Cranberry Crisp and added some pink glitter. The branches are sponged with some True Thyme ink and then some green glitter.
I zig zag stitch the second and third layer. The sentiment is stamped in Cranberry Crisp ink and sponged with Pretty in Pink. The silver brds are from Jo-Ann's.

Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, White, Basic Black.
Paper: Unknown.
Stamps: Chickadee Wishes.
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Cranberry Crisp, Meloww Moss.
Embellishments: White Satin Ribbon, Silver brads from Jo-Ann's.
Accessories: Sewing machine, White thread, Pink Glitter, Green glitter, sponges, 3D foam by EK-Success, Mini glue dots.

It's Tea Party Time

Some bunny loves you!!

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a great day. I started my day going to the Lab and having some test done, I fasted for more than 12 hours and I was hungry, LOL. The lady st the lab took 4 tubs of blood, I hope I get only good results. I am having a Sinus infection and that is causing a lot of headaches, right now I am taking antibiotics and pain killers, but they make me drowsy, not fun.
Anyway, I've been working on DT assignments, but I managed some time to make a couple of baby cards. I used Somebunny Set from Verve Visual. The cards are very simple to make, less than 10 minutes, I think I spent more time cutting the bunny than making the card.
The bunnies are stamped twice and then positioned with 3D foam.

Some bunny loves you!!

Always

Twenty two years ago October 13th was a Monday. I remember that day very well, I went to school, I had a lot of homework and my youngest sister was rehearsing for an especial act. Everything look pretty normal with the exception my mom was at the hospital, in the ICU.

That day after school my dad looked very sad looked like he was crying, he saw me and told me my mom was in very critical condition and he needed to go to the hospital. And came back to school to pick up my sister and my brother took us to my grandma's house. I was doing my homework and we received the call,... my mom passed away. I was only 13, just twenty days before my 14th b'day. Today I am remembering my mom, I would say I remember her every day, but a day like today she went to heaven 22 years ago.

I know she is always in my heart,

she never met her grand kids,

but I always talk about her with my daughter.

She was a great wife, mother and friend

Always the best,

Always my mom.

I miss you mom... Always

Always

Think Pink

October is "Breast Cancer Awareness" and I decided to make a card and cheer up somebody that has been or is affected with this disease. I will confess that early this year I was so scared that maybe I was affected. Last December I found a lump in my underarm, I was scary and I think I cried every day until I finally got a doctor's appoinment. I had a lot of tests, finally after 3 months of tests everything was negative. Those are moments that you think "What if" and I had those moments for months. I thank God everyday for my health, my family and every moment I spend with my family and friends.

Think Pink

Poinsettia

Hello everyone!! I hope you are having a great Sunday. I have been MIA for few days, I haven't been feeling good lately, today I would say that I am feeling a little bit better, but tomorrow I will go to the doctor and check what is going on, the headaches are everyday plus other symptoms. Yesterday I rested and then I decided to make few projects for my Design Teams, in addition of that I played Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge.

I really like the card I made, LOL. I love to make cards with tons of layers and when a make one with few or no layers I feel weird :)
Anyway for my card the base is Real Red CS. I stamped the Poinsettia by Studio G twice, colored them with watercolor pencils, then cut them out and applied some Diamond Glaze. The Leaves by Studio G are a different stamp, which I stamped twice too, water colored and added some Diamond Glaze as well.
The DP is Christmas Ornaments by Best Creations from Mothers and Daughters Creations Store.

I used my scallop scissors on the Certainly Celery CS. I mounted the images on White CS and tons of 3D-Dots from EK Success. I added 3 little purple Rhinestones on the corner and the pretty Offray White Satin Ribbon.

The CLASSroom WCMD challenges

Hello everyone, I have some cards to show you. This time I played the challenges posted on The CLASSroom by Ellen Hutson. Last weekend she posted 3 super cool challenges celebrating World Card Making Day.
I just had some time to play and I hope you like my cards

WCMD Challenge #1: Give it some Texture!
For my card I added felt as a second layer, I stitched the felt and also zig zag the pretty paper using white thread. The ribbon is from Martha Stewart.

Card Recipe
Card stock: Kiwi Kiss, Very Vanilla, Textured white and green (for Butterflies)
DP: Ambrosia Paper Pad by Basic Grey
Stamps: SU Three Thoughts.
Ink: Stazon Black, Orange for sponging.
Embellishments: Martha Stewart Rayon Ribbon,Brads, Orange felt
Accessories: Dimensionals, Mini glue dots, Sewing machine, white thread.

WCMD Challenge #2: No Layers
This challenge was a hard for me, I love to use a lot of layers, I made 2 cards, the first one I didn't like much so I made a second one, at the end I like both, so here they are.

Stamps: F3249 Fanciful Star Filament by Hero Arts, SU Three Thoughts (sentiment)
Ink: Chocolate Chip Craft, Orange pigment.
Embellishments: SU Felt Flowers, SU Tangerine Tango Grosgrain RIbbon, Flower buttons, White mini button, Gold thread.
Accessories: Gold embossing powder, mini glue dots, embossing gun, sponge.

Card Recipe:
Card stock: Kraft.
Stamps: Chickadee Wishes by smARTworks
Ink: Craft Chocolate Chip, Clear Embossing pad.
Embellishments: Red Sattin Ribbon, Mini rhinestones.
Accessories: Gold embossing powder, Embossing gun, mini glue dot.

WCMD Challenge#3: Stitch it!
Easy one, I love to stitch, and if it is paper the best, LOL.
Card Recipe:
Card stock: Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Very Vanilla.
Stamps: SU Baroque Motifs.
Ink: Certainly Celery, Purely Pomegranate, Buckaroo Blue.
Embellishments: SU Double stitich ribbon, Gold brads, Mini rhinestones.
Accessories: Dimensionals, Diamond Glaze, Sewing machine, White thread.

Mothers and Daughters Creations Challenge

Hi everyone, today is Thursday and that means another Challenge on the MDC Challenge Blog. This week challenge is to create a box, favor or treat bag. I made this cute Treat bag, I got the tutorial from SCS.
The materials I used you can get them at Mothers and Daughters Creations Store. The paper is Frightful - Jack O'antern/Orange Dots by My Little Yellow Bicycle. The image is Happy Jack by Serendipity.
The orange ribbon is from SU "Tangerine Tango 5/8" Striped Grosgrain ribbon", the brown polka dots ribbon is from miss Elizabeth (Dollar store).

Just in case ...

Little Paper Shop Sketch Challenges.

I decided to play the "Little Paper Shop Sketches", even though I don't own any of their stamp sets. They have 2 super fun sketches.

Sketch #1: Orange Daisy
The images form this card are Daisy Trio #2 from smARTworks. This is a 3-step set, after I stamped my images I embossed the image using Clear Embossing powder. I distressed the circle and sponged it with Orange Craft ink. The sentiment is stamped in Stazon black. The ribbon is Offray Lemon Grass Satin ribbon, I got it from Walmart.
The CS colors used are: Chocolate Chip, Barely banana, White. The DP is Bo Bunny.

Sketch #2: Rejoice
The main image is Nativity by Serendipity, the sentiment is Rejoice from Studio G. The DP from the little squares is Ornament 2 by Best Creations, I used my sewing machine with white thread color around. I colored the image with Watercolor pencils and then added a little bit of Markers.

The card base is White and I stamped snowflakes from Studio G and embossed with Embossed gold powder. I added a red satin ribbon at the bottom. The sentiment is from Studio G as well, I used Cranberry Crisp ink.

Little Paper Shop Sketch Challenges.

Peace and Love to you

Hi everyone, here I am still feeling sick, headaches, tiredness and not too much appetite, well maybe this is the only way to lose weight, LOL.
Anyway, this morning I played Sketch Challenge on SCS. I love my card, but my picture is not the best, I will try to take another one later.
The image and sentiment are from Cozy Winter Set by Serendipity. The Designed Paper is from Best Creations: Frosty Christmas .
The pretty ribbon is from Martha Stewart Collection, this ribbon is so soft and delicate I love it!! I colored the image with watercolor pencils and then embossed the roofs with white emboosing powder. I sponged the images with Chocolate chip Craft ink. I added a bit of Liquid Applique on the snow spots and also used my sewing machine around every image and the main panel.

Thinking of You

Earlier today I made this card for Color Combination challenge on SCS. The colors for today are: Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango and Kiwi Kiss. I am very happy with my card, this color combo is great!!!
I used a Lockhart image I received through the Wish Rak group. I colored it with Watercolor pencils and then added a little bit of markers.
The sketch is from Heather Scott's Monday Challenge . For the circle behind the image I used my coluzzle tracing lines 3 and 4 counting form the outside. I made some piercing around.

The sentiment was sponged with Orange Craft Ink and then distressed.

Stamps: Three Thoughts, Image by Lockhart.

Ink: Chocolate chip, Black, Orange.
