Hello my friends, members of Gina K.'s Design Team have come together to host a hop with cards and projects featuring a masculine theme.
If you came from Donna's blog, you're at the right place. If not make sure to head over to StampTV where you will find a list of all those participating in today's hop.
So, for this blog hop I've made 2 cards.
Happy Father's Day: This card was one of the ones I taught last week to a group of friends from my church, they really liked it and it was perfect timing and no need to buy a card :)
Directions:
- Make card base from Ivory CS.
- Cut a piece of In The Navy CS: 3 11/16" x 4 15/16" . Adhere it to card.
- Cut a piece of Ivory CS: 3.5" x 4.75".
- Stamp Background from Timeless Textures Set in Tea Dye Distress Ink. Stamp the Lighthouse and birds in Walnut Stain Distress. Stamp the seagull in an extra piece of CS and cut it out. I stamped the BG image first and then the seagull to give it more texture.
- Stamp sentiment in Faded Jeans Distress Ink.
- Color the Lighthouse with Copic Markers: R27, R35.
- Add a couple of brads. Adhere it to card.
Card recipe:
- Cardstock: Ivory, In the Navy (Gina K. Designs)
- Stamps: Timeless Textures,By The Sea (Gina K. Designs)
- Ink: Tea Dye, Walnut Stain, Faded Jeans (Ranger Industries)
- Embellishments: Copper Brads (SU)
- Accessories: Scor-tape, Mini foam tape, Copic Markers.
Your Rock! This is the perfect card for a teenager who loves music! Anytime I see a drum, reminds me my dad. He used to have his own band and he was the drummer, fun times!!
Directions:
- Make card base from Little Blue Boy CS.
- Cut a piece of In the Navy CS: 3 11/16" x 4 15/16"
- Cut a piece of Ivory CS: 3.5" x 4.75".
- Start stamping a background. I used the Broken China Distress Ink direct on the cardstock. Then I stamped the drum in Walnut Stain Distress. The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. The BG blocks were stamped in Antique Linen Distress. Finally, I stamped the music notes in Peeled Paint Distress.
- Adhere Ivory piece on top of In the Navy piece, add stitches and adhere it to card.
- Stamp a star , cut it out and adhere it to card.
Card Recipe:
- Cardstock: Little Blue Boy, In the Navy, Ivory (Gina K. Designs)
- Stamps: Live Life Loud, star from Perfect Pennants.
- Ink: Antique Linen, Broken China, Walnut Stain, Peeled Paint, Tea Dye (Ranger Industries)
