Merry & Bright

Hello my friends! Hope you all are having a great day! Yesterday, I had all the intentions to write a post, but I had a really bad night, my daughter is having really bad allergy problems, pretty much her eyes and throat. She is highly allergic to tumbleweeds and we had a lot around, so even though we clean around land, the allergens are all over the place. Poor girl, breaks my heart to see her having so many problems. So yesterday, I decided to spent all my time with her and also had a nap. After that, I felt much better and I think she did too.

Ok, now onto my card. I have been in Christmas mood lately :) so I decided to create a Wintery Christmas card.

Directions:
  • Make card from card stock.
  • Punch bottom border of the Ivory piece.
  • Dry emboss a piece of card stock, ink edges. Add to Ivory piece and add stitches.
  • Stamp image and heat emboss. Die cut and sponge. Add Diamond Glaze and crushed glaze to create ice/snow effect.
  • Stamp saying. Using a tag, die cut. Cut out one side of the tag and ink edges.
  • Add dew drops and rhinestones.

Hello my friends! Hope you are having a great Sunday. We just came back from church and we got some shopping done too! I have a CAS card I made last night for several challenges in blog land.

Directions:
  • Make card from card stock.
  • Adhere strip of Patterned paper to card stock. Add stitches.
  • Stamp sentiment.
  •  Adhere paper flowers using foam tape/pop up.

Oh Baby!


 Hello ladies and happy Saturday! I hope you are having a great day! Here is haze due to the Fires in British Columbia, Canada, crazy, ha?

Anyway, today I sat down and create a card for my daughter's challenge. I decided to do a cute baby card. I also used the colors from Off the Wall Craftiness and the "Embossable Challenge" from Our Creative Corner

The card is very simple, few details; I stamped the bear twice and colored them the same way. One was die cut with Circle Nestabilities, the other image was cut out to create a 3D effect. The paper flower at the bottom is one I created, you can check the tutorial HERE

  • Card stock: White (GP), Lemon Drop (GKD), Creme de Menthe (GKD), Innocent Pink (GKD)

Becca's challenge #3

Hello my friends! It has been awhile since Becca asked me to post another of her sketch challenges. She is so excited to show you her new sketch and her pretty card.

Note: She made her card without any help, she took the picture and mommy edited for her :) She loves Gina K. and she used one of the sets I have on my craft desk "A Very Merry Christmas" by Theresa.
Just a fun thing to share, as I said she loves Stamp TV and Gina K. Every tutorial is a "MOVIE" and she just told we should travel and visit Gina K. because she looks really nice :)

Anyway, as always she used card stock, ink and embellishments from my stuff.

Some news to share!!

Hello my friends! I hope you are having a great day. I am so happy to share this with you. Today, I got my Paper Crafts Magazine in the mail and I my first card ever published is in there :)
It feels really good :) My daughter and I couldn't stop looking at it. LOL. Just in case you have got your PCM my card is on page 63.

My daughter couldn't stop smiling for mommy :) Poor girl, she is a little bit sick.

Also I want to show you some Acrylic Blocks I got from "smARTworks Store! I have to say they are awesome, they are not too heavy and you hold them perfectly. Also they are more affordable than the ones from the Craft Stores :) And just in case you are in the mood for new stamps, smARTworks have new sets, you can see them HERE.

These are the ones I just got and I love them :)

Merry Christmas

Hello my friends! It 's Friday and time for another fun challenge over at StampTV!!
This week's challenge is  just to incorporate "Punch/Dies" on your project. It can be ny kind, few or tons :)

This is the card I created. I used the Poinsettia from Melanie's "A Year of Flowers" set (love this set) and the sentiment is from Theresa's  "A Very Merry Christmas" set. I used a Fiskars border punch and Circle and Fancy Tags Dies. The ribbon is Christmas Plaid. I ink all the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. The card stock colors I used are Ivory (base), Kraft, Red Hot and White Layering.

Happiness is...

Hello my friends! Are you having a great day! I hope you do!! My days after surgery have been really slowwwwww, and I don't like it a little bit. I think all the fever I've been having is not because of an infection or surgery related, it is a COLD!! Yeap, one thing after another, the good thing is I've been coloring images while resting, LOL and making some crocheted flowers (Yes, I don't rest, I don't like to :)

Anyway, yesterday I made this card, but I was feeling so sick I didn't have more energy to make a post, so here I go today. 

This card includes several challenges:
Sketch: Card Patterns.
Colors: Off the Wall Craftiness.
Flower Parade : The Classroom.
Glitter : DeNami Design.
Button(s): EBTKS
Color: Flourishes.

Directions:
  • Make card from card stock.
  • Emboss a piece of card stock, ink edges. Mat it with a bigger piece. Add Ribbon, button and strip of patterned paper and card stock.
  • Stamp and colored Image. Stamp sentiment. Die cut using Nestabilities, sponges inside.
  • Stamp an extra image, color and cut out. Add the flowers to give an extra dimension, apply glitter.
  • Adhere to card.

  • Card stock: Lemon Drop, White Layering, In the Navy (all Gina K. Designs)
  • Paper: Material Girl (Cosmo Cricket)
  • Stamps: Friends are Forever (Gina K. Designs)

Happy Birthday

Today I stamped!! yes, I know, I think I should rest for a couple of more days 'cause being on a chair for too long causes me a little bit of pain, I can't wait to get the stitches removed and feel free.

Anyway, I combined few challenges in this card.
Directions:
  • Make card from card stock.
  • Cut a smaller piece, ink edges. Cut squares of 1.25". Adhere to card.
  • Add a piece of scor-tape. Add the ribbon .
  • Stamp sentiment. Die cut. Adhere to card.
  • Add flower and dew drops.

  • Card stock: Chocolate Brown, Ivory (GKD), Pumpkin Pie (SU).

Paper Flower Tutorial.

Hello my friends! I hope you are having a great day. My days after surgery have been with up and downs. After surgery I got really sick (I've never felt that sick in my life), then I got fever pretty much every day, after resting and doing nothing, I am feeling much better and trying to be back on my regular daily things.

Now, thanks to all of you who requested a tutorial of my Paper Flowers. I have to be honest with you. I don't do tutorials because English is not my first language and sometimes I don't know the exact words I want to use, but this time my husband helped me a little bit, so I hope this helps and if you have any questions, please leave a comment here and I will try to answer ASAP.

Materials you may need:
  • Scallop circles, plain circles. You can die cut using Nestabilities or punches or even you can draw your own style:)
  • Fine Glitter (I am using Martha Stewart)
  • Diamond Glaze (Liquid Applique, or any nice glue)
  • Distress Ink (Opt)
  • Embellishments: Buttons, Pearls, Rhinestones, etc (any you like to put in the center of your flower)
  • Other: Sponges, Paint brush, wipes (to clean up)

1.- Your basic materials:

 2.- Scallop circle and 2 circle in different sizes.
 3.- Crinkle your card stock until it gets really soft.
 4.- Open them up and start splitting the borders.
5.- Split the borders, keeping the center attach to the base of your card stock.

 6.- Your final result should look like this. Avoid to split the whole piece, remember: do only the borders.
 7.- Apply distress ink in all the borders of your card stock.
 8.- In this flowers I used Shimmerz Paint, apply it only on the borders using a paint brush.
9.- This is a little variation, instead of Shimmerz I used Diamond Glaze and Glitter.
10.- Apply the Diamond Glaze on the borders. Be careful not to glue with the other piece.
 11.- Apply glitter. Shake the excess.
 12.- Apply glitter to the other pieces.
 13.-  Final results. Red flowers is the one I used Shimmerz paint and the pink/purple is the one with Glitter.

Hope this helps you and you can start making your own flowers.!

Hello my friends! Hope you are having a great day! It's Friday and time for another Christmas Challenge over at Stamp TV!! This week challenge is "Stitches" real or faux, your choice :)

This is the card I made:
The card base is All Spruced Up. I matted together a piece of Ivory and a piece of Cappella Patterned Paper (BasicGrey) and added stitches. The sentiment is from Blessed is the Season Set. I punched a piece of Red Hot and matted it with All Spruced Up and added stitches as well. The paper flower was made by me using Innocent Pink and Ivory CS.
The ribbon is White Organdy.

Feliz 28 Peru!! + "My friend" Card

Hello my friends! I am having a mix of feelings today, why? because today it's Independence Day in Perú and I am not there. My family there is getting together to celebrate our Independence and eat really nice and yummy Peruvian food!! I am planning to cook some yummy Peruvian dishes today :)
