On your special day

Hello friends! Happy Friday to you all! Today, I have a very special and feminine card, Crafter's Companion just released (yes, few minutes ago!) new Die'sire dies, and this collection is beautiful! I have created few samples, but today I want to share with you this one with a watercoloring background.

For this card, I really wanted to show how beautiful this Ornate Garden Die set is, but I didn't want to add too much, so I decided to draw a simple background, I just wanted a simple wall with some leaves falling, but at the end I ended up with a row of trees and flowers. Watercoloring is very relaxing for me, you should give it a try too {wink, wink}

Here are the details
  • Make a card base from Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock. A2 size.
  • Cut a panel from watercolor paper and create the scene, I used Spectrum Aqua Markers: Moss, Crimson, Slate, Black, Terracota, Aquamarine.
  • Stamp sentiment from Sentimental set in Jet Black StazOn ink.
  • Die-cut and emboss the Ornate Garden in White Cardstock. (Die-cut table twice and glue them together)
  • Glue chairs first to watercolor piece, then add table to piece with foam tape.
  • Mat watercolor piece with a Black Pearl Shimmering cardstock.
  • Add panel to card base.

Hinged Box

Hello friends!! Hope you are having a great day, full of crating. Last month I created a lot of special assignments and this one was one of those I made for HSN. I don't make boxes often, but I had fun making this one. I got the tutorial from The Advanced Construction Techniques DVD from Crafter's Companion. Great tutorials.

Here are the details:
  • Follow tutorial from DVD, my box base was made with Construction Cardstock and the new Big Score Board
  • Decorate panels with Sweet Treat Card Pack Papers.
  • Create a couple of flowers using Forget Me not and Delicate Flower 3D Dies in Pink Pearl, Rose Pearl and Green Envy Shimmering cardstock.
  • Decorate all edges with Pink Lace Tape.
  • Add brads and velcro to help keeping the box close.

Your smile is the best gift

Hello friends! We are welcoming March, goodness, the year is flying by, and March is birthday month, today is my sweet 2nd niece birthday, she is turning 21!! Also this month is my sister, daughter and husband's birthdays! I have also other relatives, wow!! I need to make a  lot of birthday cards!

Talking about birthday cards, I have one for you, super sweet with an adorable image, this is Flogger, a new set released by Latina Crafter and also using the new sketch + twist for this month.

Well, my interpretation is a little different, I always use a sketch as an inspiration and give it a little bit of a twist.

Here are the details of my card:
  • Make card base from White cardstock. A2 size.
  • Add strips of patterned paper (great way to use your little scraps).
  • Die-cut a Polaroid from Black Shimmering cardstock and white cardstock (square).
  • Stamp sweet Flogger on the white piece and color it. I used Spectrum Aqua Markers.
  • Add Polaroid to card base with foam adhesive.
  • Add wood veneer banner and cupcake to Polaroid.
  • Stamp sentiment in St. Valentine ink on a white piece of cardstock and add it to card.
  • Final touch, add rhinestones and color dog with Clear Wink of Stella.
