Christmas JOY + a Giveaway!!!

Hello my friends!  Lots of things changing here in the Smith residence, so I have't been able to blog as I like, don't you worry, everything is fine, just crazy busy :)

Hello and a little giveaway!

CSS Alumni: Inspirational Blog Hop

Hello my friends and welcome to another Blog Hop where some of the CSS Alumni show their creations using Gina K. Stamps. If you have arrived here from Deb's blog you are in the right place, if not you should start from Stamp TV!!

This time our inspiration comes from this yummy cupcakes !!

I created 2 cards for this Hop and I pretty much got inspired by the colors of these cupcakes.

Card #1: Happy Birthday.

This is a CAS card. I took the circle shape and colors to make this simple yet elegant card. The sketch comes from CAS blog and I used my Copic Markers, LOL. I just bought few markers and I am in love!!

Directions:

• 
  
  Die-cut circle card shape. Die-cut also matting cardstock and patterned paper.
• 
  
  Stamp image twice Color them, cut out second image and add it with foam tape.
• 
  
  Stamp sentiment in a piece of Ivory cardstock. Add pearls and adhere image.

Card recipe:

• 
  
  Cardstock: Chocolate Brown, Innocent Pink Ivory (Gina K. Designs)
• 
  
  Paper: The Guy Stack (DCWV)
• 
  
  Stamps: Rose from "A Year of Flowers", Sentiment from "Fanciful Tags" (Gina K. Designs)
• 
  
  Ink: Walnut Stain (Ranger), Antique Linen (Ranger), Copic Markers.
• 
  
  Embellishments: Pearls (Recollections)
• 
  
  Accessories: Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Sponges, Foam tape.

Card #2: Merry Christmas

This card has a Vintage-shabby look and I really love how it turned out. I used the sketch from 2S4U. Again, I used a couple of Copic Markers to color the Poinsettia. I think it looks pretty, but I need more practice using these new babies :)

Directions:

• 
  
  Make card from cardstock.
• 
  
  In a piece of Innocent Pink cardstock, stamp Background image, ink all edges and distress. Mat it with a piece of Ivory cardstock.
• 
  
  Stamp sentiment and die-cut using Fancy Tags Nestabilities, ink edges and adhere to card with foam tape.
• 
  
  Add jut twine around, add button with twine.
• 
  
  Stamp image 3 times, color it with Copic Markers and cut 2nd and 3rd image to create a 3D image.
• 
  
  Adhere to card. Add glitter and small gold rhinestones.

  Cardstock: Chocolate Brown, Ivory, Innocent Pink (Gina K. Designs)
• 
  
  Stamps: Background from "Blessed is the Season", Sentiment from "Fanciful tags", Poinsettia from "A Year of Flowers" (Gina K. Designs)

  Ink: Tea Dye Distress (Ranger), Memento Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko), Memento Desert Sand (Tsukienko).
• 
  
  Embellishments: Red Button (Holiday Collection Gina K. Designs), Jute twine (Gina K. Designs), Gold rhinestones (Recollections), Diamond Stickles (Ranger).
• 
  
  Accessories: Fancy Tags (Spellbinders), Foam tape, Glue dots.

CSS Alumni: Inspirational Blog Hop

Mother's Day Blog Candy.

Hello again, hope you all are having a great day! Now, it is time for Blog Candy!! I have chosen Mother's Day for the deadline for this. I am a mom of a precious, talkative and crazy girl, she loves to craft with me and her designs are awesome, LOL.
I know moms are very especial and important in our lives. Mine died when I was only 13 and I miss her every day. She was very especial, crafty 100% and very funny. Her laugh made you laugh even if you were sad, she always made you feel happy and welcome. She loved to talk :) (I think Becca got that from grandma Oliden ) especially on the phone. Even though she died almost 24 years ago I can hear her voice, laugh and I remember her and wish she could be here to see her grand kids (10 total) and all her siblings happily married.

Happy Monday everyone, I hope your day is happy and bright. Today, I don't have anything to show you, it started just as any other day and ended up doing some yard work!! WHAT?!?! I was not planning at all doing any yard work, I just planned to do some projects with DD as our homeschool class, we were starting our pots and putting some seeds to start indoors, of course I explained and did most of the job, but DD was happy, (yes, not math or spelling class, she was a happy girl).
Then I saw some weeds (well, a lot, LOL) so I had my rake and started raking, after a while I had a pile of weeds waiting to be moved into the burn pile, i was getting tired, feeling the heat in my face and body. I decided I should stop and get inside because I was HUNGRY!!! Yes, it was 1:10pm!!! DD was playing on the computer, (did I say playing on the computer???), I drank some water and made some yummy BBQ sandwiches (I love leftovers).

I planned to do some stamping, (BTW MY great friend and neighbor Nicole brought me today tons of stamps!!! Thanks so much Nicole and Gary.) but I am soooooo tired and decided better start my dinner and get ready to take DD to her swim lesson.

Blogoversary Candy Time!!!!

NEWS!!! and a giveaway!!!

Hello everybody, I hope you are having a better day than me. I shouldn't complain, but my asthma problems still making me sick and with no energy.

On the other hand I want to share great news, remember the card I made few days ago for MFT GD Contest, well I didn't get the GD spot, BUT I will be the next Ambassador on the next MFT Release, I got so excited when I got the message that I almost had an asthma attack, seriously, but now I am feeling better.

Also, I have a giveaway for you. I got an extra copy of Paper Crafts Magazine (Nov-Dec), but this time you have a little homework to do. On Wednesday and Thursday I will post some challenges, you have to create a card or a project and then link it on the Wednesday or Thursday post. I will choose the winner from all the entries.

Wednesday Challenge is to create a Circular card or use circular embellishments, or something must be circular.

Thursday Challenge I can't tell you yet, but it is something really cool, stay tuned.

I will draw a winner name next Tuesday (Nov 18) so have plenty of time to participate, for every card or project you get one entry!!!

I am working on DT projects, at the same time I am trying to take it easy because I get tired even when I breath. I can't wait to see your great creations!!!
