I don't know...

... what title use for this post, so here I go. I decided to give another try into Gina K. Color Challenge, this time I am using "Inside & Out Set" You never know if you win if don't try, right? I was not feeling good today, still a little weak, but when DD was napping and I couldn't take a nap, I decided to move into my craft room and create something simple and pretty.

Each of us: This card is very pretty!! I created the idea in my head, but I didn't think it would turn out so pretty!!, Very easy and pretty fast too!. I used 2 Cuttlebug folder {Textile and Swiss Dots}, a border punch from Fiskar. I sponged the borders with Antique Linen Distress Ink (love it!) The sentiment was stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa.
Part of the challenge is to use 2 of the new colors from the Spring Collection, so I used Ocean Mist and the Lemon Drop Button. The ribbon is Silk from MS.
Happy Birthday: For this card I started cutting my base card (Lovely Lavender) with a Coluzzle System, the Lemon Drop as well as the White CS were cut with Circle Nestabilities. The sentiment was stamped in Memento Sweet Plum, cut and embossed with Circle nestabilities as well. I had a flower from Spring Florals already colored (with Prismacolor pencils and OMS), I tried to position it in one side only, but then I decided to cut the flower in little sections and position it in different places, I love it!! The white CS was embossed with Textile folder and sponged with Color Box Plum Ink. As a final touch I added some Pink Satin Ribbon (Offray) and some Pearls around.

Hope you like my cards.
Have a great day/night!

2 challenges, 1 stamp set and a Happy Birthday!!

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a great day! I woke up today with a tummy ache and it doesn't go away! It is bothering me really bad. I am having a very slow day, I was planning on posting this early, but.. now you know why I couldn't. Anyway, enough of me and moving forward to show you a couple of cards I made for a couple of challenges using "Spring Florals" by Gina K. Designs. and also participating in the Color Challenge Blog Hop.

Easter Blessings: For this card I used Creme de Menthe, Lovely Lavender and a bit of Lemon Drop. I stamp the image on White PL CS in Stazon Black, colored it with Prismacolor Pencils, cut out the second image and positioned it on top for a 3D look. I used my oval Nestabilities to cut and emboss and sponge the image.
I added some CB BG and straight stitches. I based my card on the sketch from 2S4U.

Card recipe:
Card Stock: Creme de menthe, Lovely lavender, Lemon Drop.
Stamp: Srping Florals.
Ink: Stazon Black, Memento Sweet Plum.
Embellishments: Ribbon, Pearls, Diamond Stickles.
Accessories: Sewing machine, Cuttlebug, Embossing folder, Daubers, Sticky foam.

Birthday Wishes: For this card I used Creme de Menthe, Innocent Pink and White PL CS. The image was stamped in White PL CS in Stazon Black, colored with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with OMS. I added some of the flowers and leaves for a 3D look, after that I added some Diamond Glaze. The image was cut, embossed and sponged using Circle Nestabilities.
I based my card on the Mojo Monday Sketch.

Card Recipe:
Card Stock: Creme de Menthe, Innocent Pink, White.
Paper: Baby Girl (Heidi Grace Designs)
Stamps: Spring Florals.
Ink: Stazon Black.
Embellishments: Pink Satin Ribbon (Offray), Pearls.
Accessories: Sewing machine, Cuttlebug, Textile embossing folder, Medium Glue dots, daubers.

Tip, tip: In order to give my image a much real look, I used Glue dots instead of Sticky foam, they work much better!! Hope this tip help you.

And finally, I want to wish my beautiful niece Johanna a Happy Birthday! She is turning 17 today! WOW, I can't believe it. It looks like yesterday when she was born, sadly the same day my uncle passed away. It is amazing how dead also bring life.
I love my niece very much and I miss her a lot!! She is very funny, sweet and the most honest person. Anytime I talk to her, we laugh a lot!! Happy Birthday Johy!! Wishing you the best!

Hope is Faith

Hello my friends, Hoping you all are having a great day/night wherever you are. I have another card for Gina K. Color Challenge, you can find all the info "here".
This time for my card I used Lovely Lavender and Lemon Drop.
I stamped the butterfly 4 times in White PL CS using Espresso Ink, then I colored them with Prismacolor Pencils, the colors I used are: PC916 Canary Yellow, PC1008 Parma Violet and PC932 Violet. I started coloring the outside with PC1008, then I added the PC916 and blended with OMS, finally I added PC932 to the borders and blended again. After that I cut them out and glued them together with Diamond Glaze and added some Diamond Glaze on the top butterfly for a shiny look.
The sentiment was stamped also in White PL CS using Espresso Ink and I matted it with Lemon Drop PL CS. I used my Fiskar Border Punch and I added some pearls. Straight stitched were added around all the borders. I used the sketch from CPS.
Final size card: 4" x 6".

Card recipe:
Card Stock: Lemon Drop, Lovely Lavender and White PL (Gina K. Designs)
Stamps: Hope is Faith.
Ink: Espresso (Adirondack), Memento Sweet Plum (for sponging PP)
Embellishments: Pearls (KaiserCraft)
Accessories: Sewing machine, white thread, Border Punch (Fiskars), Diamond Glaze, Medium Glue dots
.

Hope you like it.

In a "Baby" Mood.

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a great day! I had all the intentions to make a post yesterday, but to be honest after I watched the news and heard about the earthquake in Chile I felt so sad and even sick. I called my family in Peru and Thank God they are fine, just scared.
Sorry if you came here and didn't find anything, but now that you are here, you are going to enjoy some pretty baby cards! I always enjoy creating Baby Cards, they are always so sweet and delicate. I created these cards with Rupa's newest set Oh Baby! (Gina K. Designs), and also joining GinaK. Illustrator's Blog Hop, creating a card using 2 of the newest Spring colors (CS, ribbon or buttons) and newest sets released.
I really love this set, 17 images and sentiments that can make you create the most beautiful baby cards!
So without any further ado, here are my cards:

It's a girl: For this card I used Innocent Pink CS and a Lemon Drop Button. This is the first time I created a Onesie Card. It was a fun card to make. The bib image was stamped in White PL CS and colored with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with OMS. I added few tiny pearls and some Diamond Stickles. I also added pearls around and some stitches.

Inside the card:

Cute as a button: For this card I created a BG using the button stamp onto the Innocent Pink CS. I added a stripe and embossed it (Swiss Dots), sponged the borders and also added some stitches. I cut little squares using Square Nestabilities (White, Innocent Pink, Lemon Drop and Creme de Menthe). Last, I added 3 buttons (some embroidery floss attached {MFW Challenge}) from the Spring Button Collection.

Rocking Horse: For this card I started with White PL as a card base. I used the sketch form Card patterns. I added to my card base a piece of Ocean Mist, White. I added some Lemon Drop stripes and also embossed them (Swiss Dots) and sponged the borders, stitches were added. The image was stamped in White PL CS in Memento Rich Cocoa, colored with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with OMS. It was matted with Lemon Drop and Ocean Mist CS and stitches were added. As a embellishment I added a paper flower and in the center I added a Ocean Mist Button. As petals I added some scraps of MS Silk Ribbon. Also tiny pearls were added in the corner.

Inside the card:
It's a Boy! I really love this card. I started with Creme de Menthe for my card base. I added a smaller piece of White CS and Lemon drop CS (embossed with Swiss Dots) After that I added a piece of embossed Creme de Menthe, stitches added. The cute Teddy Bear was stamped in a piece of White CS using Chocolate Craft Ink and heat embossed. Then I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils, I colored and extra head and feet and added for more dimension. Creme de Menthe and ocean Mist button were added. I cut the cute Star Tag using my Cricut Machine and George Cartridge, the tag was attached to the ribbon with some embroidery floss (MFW Challenge)

WOW! I feel tired already, LOL. Hope you enjoy all my cards. If I skipped something and you need extra info, please let me know.

Have a great day!!

Crochet flowers

Hello my friends, this is my second post and maybe another coming later. First, I have to say "Thank you" for all the e-mails I have received about the crochet flowers I mentioned I was making. I didn't think that many people wanted to learn the "how to make" process.
I am posting the link here: Crochet Flower Tutorial, I have to say that I am not and never been a crochet person, and in order to make this I have watched the video many times, LOL, repeated several times the same stitch and start and redo the whole thing. Just be patient and you will see the results.

Here is a picture of the flowers I have made so far, some are single and some are double :) I am so proud of myself.

Hope you enjoy it and have fun!
Have a great day!

Welcome Little One

Hello my friends, I am so happy it is Friday! LOL, I don't have any exciting plans for the weekend, but I love weekends, maybe because I can sleep a little bit longer. Anyway, I was in the mood for a baby card, and I decided to use "Noah's Ark" by smARtworks. I love this stamp, it is a lot of fun to color. I used Prismacolor pencils to color it. The saying inside is from "Combo Sentiments".

Find the wonder

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a great day!! We are planning something fun for today and DD is so excited that she can't wait!

As a final touch I added some Sheer Stripe White Ribbon.
I am submitting this card for PPA Challenge: KISS and for the fun challenge over at Kim Hughes blog, she asked to make a card inspired by something on the Paper Craft Connection Blog, well, I saw these colors in the blog: White, Purple and Yellow!!

For my second card I stamped the butterfly using Memento Rich Cocoa and I colored it with Distress Inks : Tea Dye & Broken Linen. The paper is from MME, ribbon from Offray and Tiny Pearls from KaiserCrafts.

For my last card I used Pure Luxury White, Chocolate and Kraft!! The butterfly was stamped in Cranberry Craft Ink (Adirondack) and cut out.
