Gallery Idol Round 4: 10 Embellishments

Hello friends!! I made it to Round 4 for Gallery Idol!! This time the challenge is to use "10 embellishments", I have to confess this was not an easy challenge, but I did my best and this is the card I created.

I will start with the BG, I stamped the doilies on light brown cardstock in Versamark Ink, then added White embossing powder and heat set. This set has not been released "yet", but it will be in store next month and it is from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!!  (Thanks Korin for letting me show this sneak peek)

Ok, now time to count my embellishments:
  • Burlap flower (Handmade by me)
  • Pink Lace Tape (Love My Tapes)
  • White Lace Tape (Love My Tapes)
  • Big Center Pearl (sei)
  • Black/White twine (The twinery)
  • Green Ribbon (May Arts)
  • Vellum Foliage (Vellum from Stampin' Up, Die-cut foliage from Heartfelt Creations, Spray from Studio Calico)
  • Butterflies  (Stampin' Up)
  • Pearls (Stampin' Up): I counted the pearls as a general item and not as individual ones.

Gallery Idol Round 3 :Hello friend!

Hi everyone, it's time again!! I made it into the Gallery Idol Top 15, (sorry for being MIA, my daughter got sick, I got an allergy attack I thought I was losing my eyes and then I worked in my garden like a mad woman) and this round is about "Creating your own Background"

So, this is what I created:

Details:

  1. The background image was stamped on white cardstock in Walnut Satin Distress, added Clear embossing powder amd heat set. Then I sponged around with Tea Dye, Vintage Photo Distress, sprayed some water to make it look more natural. The BG image is called  "Grunge Borders" , the sentiment and dies are from "Mini Tags Bundle Set" all from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.
  2. The owl image was stamped several times, color with Spectrum Noir Markers, cut out and paper pieced, after that I added Crystal Lacquer to cover the whole image. I tried this new technique from Splitcoaststampers "3D paper Piecing" The owl image is called "Aqui Estoy" from Latina Crafter.
  3. I made the flowers using Vintage Floret Dies, I added Carmine 3D Paint to all the edges. The leaves were also die-cut, I used this and this, Moss 3D paint added to all the edges and folded and bended to give more dimension. ALl dies are from Heartfelt Creations.
ETA: I forgot to add I tried the 3D Paper Piecing Tutorial from Splitcoaststampers to make the owl

Gallery Idol Round 2 : For my country guy

Hello, thanks so much for stopping by and check out my project for the Gallery Idol Contest, this is week 1 and the theme is "Defining Dad". I asked my daughter how she defines her dad and she said "Funny", oh goodness, that doesn't help much, LOL. So I asked my husband and he thought about it and gave me the confused look and said, "I don't know, what do you think?" So I said I think a country guy, simple yet funny, love nature, wears a cowboy hat and wish you could find the perfect cowboys boots, we both laughed!! He agreed, so after that I went to my pile of stamps and found the perfect ones. Ok, I have to add I live in a country area, farms everywhere, animals, horses are my favorite, I talk to a white mare who I named "Bianca", she is pretty white with light spots, she loves people.

This is the view I get from my door.

Mt. Rainier saying good morning!

Mt. Adams, another beautiful view from my side of the mountains.

Ok, enough chatting, let me show the card I made with a lot of different shots. I call this card fun and interactive card, it has a lot of dimension, fussy cutting and die-cutting.
I used watercolor paper and lots of Distress Inks to color the image, let's see them.

All images and dies are from Heartfelt Creations.

Now, it's time to vote!! The top 20 have created fantastic projects, if you like mine, I will appreciate your vote :)

The Real Deal "Gallery Idol Top 15"

Hello my friends! I am so excited to show you the card I've created for the Gallery Idol "Top 15". This round is all about Masculine cards with items found in the garage or get inspired by something from the garage. I have to say this challenge was the most difficult challenge ever!! But I think I have created a good card and I hope you can give your votes ;)

So, here is my card:
The Real Deal:  I started my card printing the toll box twice (image got it from Clip Art Microsoft Word) in a piece of Little Boy Blue CS. I cut them out and from the second image I cut the inside so I could put all the inside inside. The embellishments are from EK Success. In the tool box I included some nuts, jute twine and Yellow Mason Twine from my garage. The sentiment is a sticker and the Nuts form the bottom are the real deal from my garage. I sponged the borders with Memento Tuxedo Black, because who keep a tool box clean? Not my husband, LOL.

Card recipe:
Card Stock: White, Little Blue Boy (Gina K. Designs)
Paper: The Guy Stack (DCVW)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black.
Embellishments: Tool accessories (EK SUccess), Stickers.
Garage Items: Yellow Mason Twine, Jute twine, 3/8" Hex. Nut.
Accessories: Foam tape, Medium Glue dots, sponges, Computer, Printer.

Now, here some details about the voting process:
