Technique Junkies October Release

Hello friends! Happy Sunday, October has arrived and that means a new Technique Junkies Release!!  October Release is full of amazing stamps, if you have arrived here from Vicki's blog, you are in the right place. So for this special hop, I worked with 2 sets: Give Thanks and Let It Snow.

In Everything Give Thanks
  • Start making a card base from White cardstock. A2 size.
  • Cut a panel from black cardstock 5.25" x 4".
  • Cut a strip of patterned paper 1.75" x 5.25" and die-cut a scallop border, adhere to black panel and add straight and zig-zag stitches. Adhere panel to card base.
  • Stamp "Give Thanks" image on a piece of watercolor paper in Versamark Watermark ink, then add Gold Embossing powder and color it with markers (here I used Spectrum Aqua Markers). Die-cut image and adhere it to card.
  • Embellish card with twine and dew drops.

Let it Snow

I had a lot of fun making this card and honestly loved the way it turned out. Sometimes you just have to sit down and enjoy coloring.
  • Stamp image on a piece of white cardstcok in Memento London Fog, use your MISTI and keep it in there for later impression.
  • Color images with markers, then enhance the shadow parts with pencils(here I used Spectrum Noir)
  • After that, apply a good amount of Crystal Lacquer and sprinkle super fine glitter and set aside to dry (at least 2 hours, better if overnight)
  • Die-cut image and also die-cut a layer of snow acetate and adhere them together. (TIP: Add adhesive only on the bottom part, that will be covered)
  • Make a card base from Kraft cardstock, 5.75" 5.5", dry emboss a piece of Coastal Cardstock and adhere them to card base.
  • Adhere image to card base, add snow gold snowflakes, add adhesive to them to hold the top part of the snow acetate.

Thank you!

Hello friends, Happy Saturday! Hope you are having a fun weekend. Today, I decided to stay inside (since I do yard work every weekend), my hands are a little sore, I don't know why, but I've been creating a lit bit, making fun projects for an upcoming release and just relaxing, we all need a little bit of that sometimes {wink, wink}

Anyways, I want to share a card I created using the fun products from Gina K. Designs, all the products used in this card are from the Boho Flowers Mini Kit

Here are few pictures I took with some of the steps:
  •  Adhere a piece of White cardstock behind and add stitches, then distress all edges from both panels.
  •  Stamp sentiment.
  • Add stamped images on top of a vellum piece.

Add the panel to a black card base and you are done!

Hope you like it!

Thanks!

Hello friends!! Hope you are having a fantastic day! Here in the PNW we are dealing with very unhealthy to hazardous air quality :( Hard to go outside, everything looks foggy and the smells is horrible. Praying for rain.

Anyway, I have a very "Fall-y" card for you today, by the way, have you commented on the My Sweet Petunia and Right At Home  blog hop? You still have time to comment and your name will be added, you can be a lucky a winner!! Enter HERE.

For my card I used "Fall Leaves" set, stamped them in Watercolor paper, Versamark ink and White embossing powder, then heat set, cut them out and them added Color Burst Powders! (Sepia, Yellow Ochre, Terra Verte, Tangerine).
The background was created on a Kraft 5"x 7" card, added Copper Liquid Metals , then mist the paper and voila!!
The sentiment is from "Script Greetings" set,  stamped the "thank" from thank you (I cut the clear stamp), then masked the stamp "blessed" and used one of the "s" to add it to the word, I used Jet Black Ink

Finally, I added twine and sequins, ad my card was done!

Hope you like it!
Have a fantastic day!

My Sweet Petunia and Right at Home Swap Hop

Hello friends! Welcome another fun blog hop, this time the My Sweet Petunia and Right at Home Design Team are teaming up to share with you amazing creation using products from both companies!
And we also have amazing giveaways, we will draw 2 lucky winners from all the comments from the hop, so please leave a comment on every blog to be eligible win one of two prizes: Winner's choice of an original or mini MISTI, and a prize package from Right at Home (Sunflower stamp set, Harvest Blessings stamp set (new release) and two Distress Oxide Inks: Cracked Pistachio and Peeled Paint).

Deadline for comments is September 8th at noon Central, and winners will be posted on the My Sweet Petunia and  Right at Home blogs on Tuesday September 12th

If you arrive here from Maria's blog, you are in the right place, if not start at Nicole's, so you don't miss out any of the participant blog.

I have two projects for you today, I even took pictures of the process from this card (click on the pictures fro a larger version), so let's get started.
Background piece:
  • Start stamping the leaves from "Fall Leaves" set on a piece of watercolor paper, ink them up with Memento Rich Cocoa for the outlines and then the solid images with Wild Honey Distress Ink and Memento Tangelo. For the small outlines use Memento Love Letters, Memento Pistachio, Memento Dandelion.
Embossed Leaves
  • Stamp the outline leaves on a piece of watercolor paper. Apply white embossing powder and heat set.
  • After that, add little bits of Color Burst (Sepia, Yellow Ochre, Terra Verte, Tangerine), mist water. Let it air dry or speed the process with a heat gun. Cut them out or die-cut.
  •  After that, cover all the leaves with Versamark Watermark and Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel, this will give your leaves a shiny and kinda frosty look (If you don't have UTEE, you can use clear embossing powder for a similar look)
  • Finally, stamp the sentiment from Script Greetings set on a piece of clear vellum  in Vintage Mahogany Embossing powder (Recollections), then add stitches. Adhere the card panel to a 5.5" x 5.5" white card base. Add the embossed leaves to the side. Embellish with silver thread.

This is the final card.

This second card was a lot easier and faster to make. I usually don't make OLC, but these images were calling for one {wink, wink}
Here I stamped the images ink Memento Love Letter, Memento Angel Pink, Memento Pistachio, Memento Bamboo Leaves, Memento Tangelo, Memento Dandelion, Memento Gray Flannel, Memento  Rich Cocoa, SU Coastal Cabana and Delizata Golden Glitz. Sentiment was stamped in Jet Black ink and finally added clear and blue rhinestones.
