Celebrate Your Unique Talent Blog Hop

Hello friends!! Welcome to a very special blog Hop, today we are "Celebrating Your Unique Talent", and the My Sweet Petunia Team decided that today is a great day to celebrate our amazing  Iliana!! Yes, the amazing woman who invented the MISTI (Most Amazing Stamping Tool Invented) the tool that changed the way we stamp, no more waste paper, no more bad stamping and the fastest way to mass produce cards!!

I am forever grateful, stamping has been a great way for me to relax, but wasting is not fun and makes us a bit upset, hehehe.

So, to celebrate this day and our amazing Iliana, I created this card, just for her and believe me, my MISTI played a great role in order to create this card. 

For this card I used all stamps from Concord & 9th, I bought the Blooms Fill-In Bundle last month and until now I just had the chance to use it, and I love it!! I used a whole bunch of inks, all from Memento (I really need to improve my collection).

I stamped part of the sentiment from "Lovely" set on a piece of vellum and JetBlack Stazon Ink, then I created the "Amazing" part of the sentiment using the "Perfectly Penned" set. Die-cut a little flower, added silver thread and pearls.

This close-up shows a little bit better the colors of the card.

Celebrate Your Unique Talent Blog Hop

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello friends!! Stopping by to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. It is always something to be thankful and grateful for. I will say I am thankful and grateful for my family, my church family, my closest friends, my Physical Therapy family (now). To the latter, goodness, I would have never thought in a million I will need their services, and here I am now, dealing with 3X a week of therapy, getting my legs stronger again and walking funny, still in pain and sometimes a bit depressed, BUT thankful to have so many people around me helping me and offering me a hand.

Hello friends! Today is the last day of the 30 days of Technique Junkies Christmas Celebration!!

And I have a super cute and easy card to share with you.

For this card I used "Let It Snow" stamp.

I stamped the image on a piece of Vellum in Versamark Watermark ink, then applied gold embossing powder and heat set.Covered the image with a piece of snow paper, added dotted paper on the background and little bit of red and gold. 

Added a couple of wood veneer snowflakes (BTW, I got them at Michael's for $1!!)

Easy peasy!!

Let it snow!!

Where in the world is Giovana??

Hello my friends! How are you all doing? I hope you are doing really good! Well, I have been absent for a while, my November 1st post was scheduled in October, anyways, last October 31st, I was doing my regular stuff, working and everything and my calf muscle decided to tear and change my schedule {insert sad face}. Since that day I have not been able to walk, crutches are not fun and my life is quite boring and I get a little bit stressed and depressed.
I have never had any major problems with my legs, so it is amazing how much I need my legs. Anyway, I can't be in my craft room since I need to have my leg up, I have few things in my dining room and I will try to get crafty soon.

Me on Nov 3rd, my birthday. 

Anyways, let me show you a couple of projects I made for Crafter's Companion HSN show (last Tuesday show), sadly my projects didn't make it to the show, but just in case you got some of the amazing products, I hope these can give you some inspiration.

These cards are showcasing the new foil transfers!! They are so cute and very easy to use.

Technique Junkies November Release!!

Hello friends!! Welcome to another amazing Technique Junkies Release!! Every month I say the same, but this month's release is amazing!!

If you have arrived here from Vicki's blog, you are in the right place, if not please visit the Technique Junkies blog for the perfect line up. 

Project #1: This card uses 2 new stamps, the beautiful "Linen Dots" background and this sentiment that I personally love very much, it is called "Stay Humble".

Details: The background image was stamped on a piece of white cardstock in Versamark Watermark ink, add white embossing powder and heat set. After that I sponged the image with Tater Rose and Spun Sugar. Stamped the sentiment on a piece of vellum in Jet Black Ink, then die-cut it with this die, also die-cut a piece of pink cardstock to add it behind the sentiment. Added few stitches on the right and left side to hold it better.

As a final touch, added silver thread, a paper flower and few pearls.

Project #2: Coffee lovers, you are going to love this new stamp!! This new stamp is called "Cups 'n Mugs" and it is the perfect image for your coffee, tea, hot chocolate projects. The sentimes is called "Buy Coffee"

Details: For this project I stamped the background on a piece of watercolor paper, stamped the image using my MISTI for perfect impression in Versamark Watermark ink, added white embossing powder and then heat set. After that, I tapped Sepia Color Burst and misted it, added a little more and misted until I got it the way I wanted it. Stamped the sentiment on a piece of vellum in Versamark Watermark and Gold Embossing powder and heat set it, then die-cut it using a circle die. I added stitches to the left side of the sentiment to be sure it stays in place. Finally, I added few sequins and a couple of  coffee wood veneers to embellish the card.
