Let it snow!!

Hello my friends and Happy Veterans Day!!Today I am feeling better, my voice still on and off, pretty much off, but feeling better every hour. Today, we are going out for dinner to celebrate Veteran's Day. DH is a Veteran, so today is an important Holiday for Him.
I have stamped a bit yesterday, that makes me feel much better. I am in the Christmas mood lately, just don't want the snow yet. Some days ago I received my new stamps from smARTworks, and I decided to ink the cute snowman image from Happy Winter set and give it a try. The snowman was stamped in White CS using Stazon Black Ink. I colored it with Prismacolor pencils. I sponged the border with VersaMagic Aspen Mist Chalk Ink and Broken China Distress Ink (Tim Holtz), then I stamped the snowflakes from Reindeer set using White Craft Ink and Clear embossing powder, then I sponged more of the background area. Finally, for my ground snow I added some Dazzle Dust, this is perfect for snow or ice!! I also added some Sheer Stripe White ribbon . (just in case you didn't know, this pretty ribbon is only 0.39 cents the yard!!!, buy it before is sold out)

Here is my card:

  1. You even sound better in your writing! Your snowman card is darling. We don't get snow here in FL, but I remember it well from my years in New England and the midwest.
Thanks for all the links to smARTworks products. I guess I never even looked beyond Susan's wonderful stamps.

  2. Sue is right, you really DO sound better! So glad you are feeling better. Your card is just delightful! I think they are getting snow today up north, so it's probably only a matter of weeks for us - ugh...!!! Love to look at it, play in it, photograph it, hate to drive in it! Very sweet card!!!
