Pink Hippo!

Hello my friends! I have a cute card for you today that I made with my Cricut!! I love my Cricut, but I don't use it as often I want to. So, recently I found the "Cricut Circle Blog", they have weekly and monthly challenges with great prizes :), so I got motivated and I made this cute card.
Few weeks ago, my husband got me this cartridge, isn't he sweet? This is "Create a Critter" cartridge, since I have it I wanted to create something with the hippo, and here you have it, a Pink Hippo!!

The challenge for this week is to create a project using: Pink, Ruffles, Scallops, Flourishes, Glitter and Jewels ( incorporate any 3 on your project)

So, here is my card:

Directions:
  • Make card from cardstock.
  • Mat together dark pink cardstock and patterned paper. Add stitches
  • Create ruffles with ribbon.
  • Add flourishes (Made it with Stretch your Imagination cartridge)
  • Create hippo (Using Create a Critter cartridge), ink edges and add it to card with foam tape.

Card Recipe:
  • Cardstock: Light Pink, Dark Pink (DCWV), Chocolate Brown, Bubblegum (GKD)
  • Paper: Just dreamy Collection (My Mind's Eye)
  • Cartridges: Create a Critter, Stretch your Imagination (Provo Craft)
  • Ink: Pink (SU)
  • Embellishments: Bright Pink Ribbon (Offray), Bright Pink Rhinestones (Kaisercraft).
  • Accessories: Sewing machine, Cricut machine (Provo craft), foam tape, Adhesive ( Love my tapes)
Hope you like it.
Have a great day :)

Thinking Pink.

Hello my friends, today I have a couple of "pink cards". Do you love pink? I do!! This week I found a lot of inspiration in blogland, one of them was Heather Scott at Oz-somestamps. I love her sketches and her video tutorials, so this week I decided to play her sketch and her Modified Retiform Technique.
Shall we start?

Heather's Sketch: I made a baby card, to be honest I struggled with the sketch, I don't know if I really like this card, maybe because I like to add a lot of layers and use my sewing machine, but at the end I convinced myself the card is pretty :)
The images I used are from "Oh Baby" by Gina K. Designs. The white shape was made using my Cricut machine and "A Child's year" cartridge.

Card Recipe:
Card Stock: Pure Luxury White, Lemon Drop, Innocent Pink (All Gina K.)
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Real Red.
Embellishments: Pink Button (Spring Collection GinaK), White Organdy Ribbon (Gina K)
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Swiss dots folder, Cricut, A Child's year cartridge, SU Corner punch, Fiskar's border punch, daubers, Circle Nestabilities, Sticky foam, Mini glue dots.

Modified Retiform Technique: I really like this card, :) For the technique I used Pretty in Pink (SU) and Desert Sand (Memento Ink). I followed the video step by step, it is very easy!! For the BG I used smARTworks stamps: "Stella" and "Weave" . The sentiment is from "Inside & Out" by Gina K. Designs. The scallop shape was cut using my Cricut Machine and "A child's year" cartridge. I added some Satin ribbon and tiny pearls.
I played the sketch challenge from Paper Crafts Connection Blog

Glory to God!

Hello my Friends, I hope you are having a great day! I have more CAS Christmas cards to show you today.
For my cards I used Lk. 2:14 set from smARTworks. The dove was heat embossed in gold ep. The sentiment was stamped in Memento Hot Cocoa. It was embossed with Rectangle Nestabilities and then sponged around the edges with Adirondack Ginger and Memento Desert Sand. As a final touch I added a snowflake (I cut it with the Cricut machine) and painted it in Gold Acrylic Paint.
Hope you like them! Tomorrow I will post the last bunch of Christmas cards I made this year.

Gold Poinsettia

Hello my friends and Happy Saturday! Hope you all are having a great day. Today, it is cleaning house day, yeah, not too much fun, but needed. I hope I have some extra time to stamp today.
Anyways, I want to show a card I made for some challenges: The color combo comes from Stamp TV Color Challenge: Green, Red & Gold and also from Cuttlebug Challenges : Using glitter!! , FTTCC44: CAS cards and finally Just Bugging Challenge Layers.

Card Details: To get this card shape I used "A Child's Year" Cartridge and my Cricut machine. The card size is 5" x 3.75" , then I cut another card, this time smaller 3.5" x 2. 75", cut it in half, traced the scallop lines in the plain side and cut it with scissors. Then I used my Cuttlebug machine and Swiss Dots embossing folder, sponged the borders with Real Red Ink.
The image is from A year of flowers by Gina K. Designs. I stamped the image in Gold Ink and added Gold ep and then it was heat embossed. Then I added a lot of Diamond Stickles for the nice and shiny look.
Finally I added some Christmas Plaid ribbon and a red button from Buttons Holiday Collection by Gina K.
For the inside I stamped a sentiment from A Very Merry Christmas by Gina K. Designs.

Card Recipe:
Card Stock: White.
Stamps: A year of flowers & A Very Merry Christmas (Gina K. Designs)
Ink: Gold, Real Red, True Thyme.
Embellishments: Red Button (Holiday Collection), Christmas Plaid Ribbon, Diamond Stickles.
Accessories: Cricut Machine, A Child's Year cartridge, Cuttlebug machine, Swiss Dots Embossing folder, daubers, Dimensionals, Mini glue dots.

Peace, Joy, Love

Hi again my friends! Few months ago I won a Cricut Machine and I don't use it as much as I would like, so Samantha just created a Cricut blog challenge: Just Buggin', I think this will inspire me to use my Cricut more often. I own only 1 cartridge, I really want more, but they are expensive {insert sad face}, anyway, This week challenge is to create a project based on "SERENE".
Sooo, I created a Christmas Tag. Christmas is time to Peace, Joy, Love. I cut the Tag using my Cricut machine. I sponged the borders with Red Craft Ink. I attached some yummy Christmas paper from Rubber Soul. The poinsettia is from A year of flowers (Gina K. Designs) and it was colored with Prismacolor Pencils. I added some Liquid Pearls and some Ribbon.

Tag Recipe:
Card Stock: Kraft, White.
Paper: Winter Soulstice (Rubber Soul)
Stamps: A year of flowers (Gina K. Designs), Sentiments (D.O.T.S)
Ink: Read Craft (Studio G), Stazon Black, Prismacolor Pencils.
Embellishments: Green and White Satin Ribbon (Offray), Liquid Pearls (Rangers).
Accessories: Cricut Machine, George and Basic Shapes Cartridge, Sewing machine, thread, 3D- foam (EK-Success), Scallop scissors.

Hope you like it.
