Love and frustration

Hello friends! How are you today?! Hope your Thursday is a great one. Today I have a super cool project for you, didn't start as cool as you think. Last week, I had a couple of very stressful days, yes sometimes things get out of control (not with my family) and I was very sad and disappointed by the situations, people sometimes make too many excuses to justify laziness. So, I decided to make something, at this point didn't know what, yes, that happens sometimes, it took me 3 1/2 days to finish this canvas and I was very pleased with the result. I call this canvas "Love and Frustration"

I had on my desk new stencils from Latina Crafter I wanted/needed to use, I looked at them and the magic began ;)
Get them all for only $20.00

For this canvas I used 4 of the 5 stencils. I started priming my canvas with a lot of gesso. After that I applied pieces of patterned paper, you can see the small script background. Then, I used the stencils and embossing paste, here I used white and copper. With the white embossing paste I added glitter and heat embossed. I stamped few hearts, then I used a variety of Twinkling H2O paints for all the paint drips. I added more gesso in areas that got too much paint.
I drew the hearts and painted them with acrylic paint, then used the flower/dot stencil and added only the dots. Stamped a sentiment and added it to the canvas.
Finally, I added the flower, ribbon, buttons and key to embellish the canvas.

Below I have pictures of the different corners.

Here it is the canvas, I think this is not the best picture, but I love the result!!

Blog Hop Party favor con Amor

Hola amigas!!

With Love from me to you

Hello friends! Happy Monday and Martin Luther King Jr. to all my friends in the USA, enjoy your day, I will be crafting and relaxing, at least that's my plan {wink, wink}

Ok, now back to my project, today, I am showcasing one of the new Sheena Douglas stencils from Crafter's Companion, this is called "Pop Dotty", (it will be available soon) super fun dots in different sizes, you can create a variety of projects with this one.

I have few pictures of how I made my projects, here are the steps:

  • Cut a piece of Rose Pearl Shimmering cardstock. using the Pop Dotty Stencil, cover the cardstock piece with Copper Dreamweaver Embossing Paste. Set aside to dry.
  • After it's dried, using the heart die from Heart Cupcake Insert Die, create 3 heart windows, then die-cut 3 hearts in Pink Pearl Shimmering Cardstock.
  • Adhere piece to a white card base. A2 size.
  • Stamp sentiment from Sentimentals set in Spiced Chai StazOn Midi Ink in the middle heart spot.
  • Add Pink Pearl die-cut hearts to top and bottom with foam tape.
  • Tie blue seam binding ribbon and make a bow.
  • Tie a button with twine and add it to card.
  • Finally, add swirl rhinestones to hearts.

Hope you like it!
Have a great day.

I'm so happy for you

Hello friends! How are you doing today? Hope it's a great day for you! Today, I want to show a card I made using a couple of challenges as an inspiration. Sometimes I just need an extra kick to let my mojo going on. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, LOL.

For this card I used Crafter's Companion products. The set I used is Henna, colored with Spectrum Noir Markers.

Here are the details:

  • Make a card base from Ultra Premium White Cardstock. 5.5" square.
  • Stamp the swirly image on opposite corners in Memento Summer Sky Ink Pad.
  • Cut a piece of Ultra Premium Cardstock 4" square, stamp image in Spiced Chai StazOn Ink Pad, color the image with Spectrum Noir Markers:
    • Leaves: CT1, DG2, DG3
    • Small Flower: OR1, OR2, OR3. GB6, CR7
    • Big Flower: CR7, CR10, CR11
  • Color all the white background areas with Spectrum Noir: BT1, BT2
  • Mat stamped image with a slightly bigger piece of Candy Red Shimmering Cardstock. Adhere it to card base.
  • Add White Opal and Ruby Liquid Pearls to image dots.
  • Stamp sentiment  from greetings Set in Black Ink, die-cut, emboss and stencil it with Circle Dies.
  • Create a double bow and add it to image.

Home sweet home

Hello friends! How are you doing today? I am here with a twisted neck, it really bothers me, but the show must go on, right? It's not a big deal I suppose, I just need to turn my whole body instead of my head, LOL.

Well, today, I want to show you a card I made for Latina Crafter January Challenge. Yes, Latina Crafter has a monthly challenge that includes a sketch + Inspiration, this time is "houses", but you can use either one or both together.

Here is my take on the challenge:
  • Make card base from White cardstock. A2 size.
  • Cut a couple of panels from Patterned Paper and add stitches.
  • Cut a panel from White cardstock and create a background with Ray Stencil (Tim Holtz) using Mustard Seed Distress Ink.
  • Stamp the houses from "Construye tu casa" set on a piece of Patterned Paper in Spiced Chai StazOn Midi Ink Pad. Die-cut them with coordinate dies.
  • Adhere them to ray background with foam adhesive.
  • Add a bitty button from "Bajo la Lluvia" Collection.
  • Stamp sentiment from "Hogar Dulce Hogar" set.
  • Add panel to card base.
  • Create a banner (I used a scrap piece)
  • Create a twine double bow.

Hope you like it and play along this challenge. You don't have to use Latina Crafter products to participate.

Have a great day!
