Thinking of you

Hello my friends and welcome to week 1 as a Guest Designer for Melanie Muenchinger!! I am so in love with her new set "Buds & Vases". It is the perfect match for "A Year of Flowers" which I love very much too ;)
For this week I made this card:
"Thinking of you"

Directions:
  • Make card from cardstock.
  • Mat together a piece of White cardstock and Patterned Paper and add stitches. Adhere to card.
  • Stamp bouquet in White cardstock, color it with Copic markers (R24, R29 {roses} YG95, YG97 {leaves}), cut out the bouquet.
  • Die-cut a piece of white cardstock using Label 8 Nestabilities, emboss and stencil it with Delight Daffodil Ink.
  • Adhere bouquet to label using Foam tape. Color the bottom part with Light blue markers where the vase it's going to be, to create the water.
  • Stamp the vase in Transparency sheet (best ink for this is Stazon), cut it out and add some clear glue or Diamond Glaze on to and a glue dot on the bottom.
  • Stamp sentiment, die-cut, emboss and stencil it using Circle Nestabilities. Adhere it on top of the glue dot to hide it.
  • Add a piece of ribbon  and add a blue button with some Jute twine.
  • Finally add some Diamond Glaze on top of the roses.

Card recipe:
  • Cardstock: White, Wild Dandelion (Gina K. Designs)
  • Paper: Togetherness (Cosmo Cricket)
  • Stamps: Buds & Vases (Gina K. Designs)
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento Rich Cocoa (Tsukineko), Daffodil Delight (SU), Copic Markers.
  • Embellishments: White Satin Ribbon (Gina K. Designs), Button Jar Collection (Gina K. Designs).
  • Accessories: Sewing machine, Label 8 Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Foam tape, Glue dots, Sponges, Transparency Sheet, Diamond Glaze.
Hope you like it!
Thanks so much Melanie for letting me design for you :)

  3. Beautiful, Giovana! Just hopped over here from Melanie's site--neat to know you were once a Ob/gyn! Isn't mommyhood the best job out there though? :)
