Mother's Day Blog Candy.

Hello again, hope you all are having a great day! Now, it is time for Blog Candy!! I have chosen Mother's Day for the deadline for this. I am a mom of a precious, talkative and crazy girl, she loves to craft with me and her designs are awesome, LOL.
I know moms are very especial and important in our lives. Mine died when I was only 13 and I miss her every day. She was very especial, crafty 100% and very funny. Her laugh made you laugh even if you were sad, she always made you feel happy and welcome. She loved to talk :) (I think Becca got that from grandma Oliden ) especially on the phone. Even though she died almost 24 years ago I can hear her voice, laugh and I remember her and wish she could be here to see her grand kids (10 total) and all her siblings happily married.

So, for this blog candy you have 2 chances to win:

  1. Leave a comment and tell me something especial about your mom or any mom you admire. (only 1 comment per person please)
  2. Challenge: Make a Mother's Day card, link it here and let others know about this. Here you can submit as many cards you want.(This card doesn't have to be exclusive for this blog candy, you can combine it with other challenges)
Prizes:
  1. The winner from the comments will get a bag with assorted Gina K. products (from my collection)
  2. The winner from the challenge will win "Oh Baby" Set from Gina K.
Prize #1: For a lucky commenter.

Prize #2: For a Challenge player

Deadline: May 8th, 2010 - 12:00 Pacific Time.
I will post the winner on Mother's Day May 9th.

Hope you can have fun with this.
God bless.
Giovana

  3. Hi Giovana! I am so lucky that I see my parents almost everyday! My Mom is someone I can always depend on and I cherish that. Thanks for the chance to win! I have to make a Mother's Day card and will try to link it to your blog. Have a great weekend!

  4. Hi Giovana! My 96 1/2 year old mom is & has always been a woman of faith in God, she raised 2 boys & 3 girls to follow her example of faith & integrity. She lived through many times of small resources, so she made the most of anything she had. I remember a Christmas tree that was decorated with dried spiky seed pods that had been sprayed with baby blue paint. It was beautiful! May God bless all our moms today!

  5. Giovana what a wonderful way to honor your Mother! My Mother is so supportive and understanding and my very best friend. I wish we lived closer so that we could see each other more often, though we do get together as much as possible and stamp together when ever we can.

  6. I lost my mom when I was 24 -- I was much too young for that then but you certainly were at 13! Memories are so precious! My mom was very patient and kind, very slow to anger, ready to help anyone who needed it (sounds like a scripture verse, doesn't it?). She was a Christian lady and it showed! Unfortunately, at her death, I was not right with God but I know that she knew when my life turned around!!

  7. Hi Giovana,
This is a fun challenge. I want to mention my best friend's mother who went home to be our Lord yesterday. Lois loved to scrapbook and make cards. I'm going to make a mothers day card in her honor. Thanks for offering a fun challenge with great prizes.
    Blessings,
    Michele Austin

  8. What a wonderful challenge! I have the most wonderful Mom who is 90years young. She is so very independent and is always doing for others. She still enjoys quilting, gardening, and loves to cook for others. I was blessed by having her for my mother.

  9. Despite the fact that I thought my mother knew nothing at all about raising kids when I was growing up, I find myself falling back on her knowledge and wisdom as I raise my own.

  12. Thanks for the challenge.

My mother is a strong and wonderful person and has taught me to be a strong independent woman that I am today. She is also my best friend. We can talk about any and everythings.

  13. This is my first Mother's Day being a Mom myself. I guess you never really understand what your Mom was trying to tell you all those years and the sacrifices that are unspoken until you actually share in the wonderful blessing of being a mom yourself. I truly cherish my mom and love her dearly. Thanks Mom!

  14. Giovana, your daughter is adorable and I'm going to try and figure out how to link my Mother's Day card. My mom will be turning 82 this year and I don't get to see her as often as I'd like since she lives in New Mexico and I live in Aruba. Fortunately, we will be seeing each other in June for a family wedding. She is a wonderful Christian woman who still bakes to give away to others.

  18. My Mom is 78 now and we don't live on the same continent, so I don't get to see or talk to her as often as I like, but she has always been there for her kids. No matter what we have done or what our problems may be, she has always been ready to welcome us home with open arms to comfort us, laugh with us, and sometimes even cry with us. Her love, compassion, and forgiveness knows no bounds and I can't imagine my life without her in it.

  19. Great challenge - My mom AND my mom-in-law are both amazing women! My mom has had a stroke and now it is my turn to give after many years of being given to. My MIL is still going strong and crafty and giving at 86! Am I lucky or what!

  21. My mother was an amazing woman who gave up so much to take care of me. She was a beautician and worked so hard to make a living for us. It was just the two of us and although there were hard times, she never, ever complained. She died five years ago and I miss her so much. I dream about her a lot. I miss her so much and wish she was here to talk to. Since then my step-mom has become my best friend. She will never take my mother's place, but she calls and talks to me almost every day and she loves me unconditionally. I am so blessed to have two wonderful women as "mothers".

  23. My Mom..... My Dad once said that she was the funniest woman he ever knew. She was funny, and so smart, and talented. Musically, she played piano and sang with gusto, especially the songs in that old hymnal. She taught all her daughters to sew.. and we all still do. I remember a Thanksgiving when money was a bit more than tight. She made meatloaf shaped like a turkey so we could celebrate the holiday.
She has been gone (singing in God's heavenly choir, I am sure) since 1982. I wish she had lived to see all these great grandchildren she has now. And I wish I could call her on the phone to come have dinner.
