Christmas Tree

Happy Friday everyone. Every Friday I am very busy. We go to the library, grocery shopping, sometimes laundry, and no time to stamp!!! So I decided to make this post in advance, yes if you check the time I am posting this at 3:00 am, LOL.
I want to share with you this pretty Christmas card. I had an idea on mind, but it didn't work out, so I tried it again and ended up with this precious card. Isn't this card adorable?? Anytime I make a Christmas card I say, this one is for...., so several of my cards have already an owner, of course they don't know it yet :)

For this card I used smARTworks stamps . I used 2 different sets. The sentiment is from Chickadee wishes and the image is from Peace tree.
I pop up the image using 3D dot from EK-Success, this dots are very heavy and come in 2 different sizes (check Walmart).
Do you like the paper?? I hope you are not tired of seeing the DP Bella Rose again, this paper is so pretty that even works on Christmas cards, fabulous!!!!
For the bottom of my card I used the Corner rounder punch and for the little holes the 1/16" circle punch.

Card Recipe:
Card stock: Kraft, Certainly celery.
Paper: SU DP Bella Rose.
Ink: Cranberry Crisp, Chocolate Chip, Mellow Moss.
Stamps: Chickadee wishes and Peace Tree from smARTworks.

Mothers and Daughters Creations Thursday Challenge

Hi everybody, It is Thursday and that means MDC Blog Challenge. This week our challenge was to create a card with a window or a card that uses acetate. I kind of combine both in 1. I follow this tutorial from the TV Weekly.
I made a Shake Box Window card using acetate. This card is really pretty and my DD loves to shake it, I bet little kids can have a lot of fun with a card like this.

The front of my card has several layers. The DP is Frosty Christmas by Best Creations Inc., The cute image is Santa in Chimney by Serendipity. Inside the card the sentiment is from A gift of Christmas Set by Serendipity .
The shake box has a mixture of red, green, white and few gold beads. The image was colored with Watercolor pencils and Markers. I added some Fur around the frame. On the acetate I added some Bo Bunny Rub-Ons. Inside, on the upper right side I added a snow flake and a Clear rhinestone. I sponged the sentiment borders with Bashful Blue.

This is my card and a couple of side views:

Then I stamped the flowers using Stazon Black. I stamped the flowers again onto another piece of CS and colored them with Watercolor pencils and Markers. After that I cut them out and positioned them on top of the main image using 3D foam. I applied some Diamond Glaze for the shiny look and some Gold glitter. For the leaves I used mini glue dots only in the center part.

Card Recipe:
Card stock: Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, Black, White.
Paper: SU DP Bella Rose.
Stamps: Cone flowers by smARTworks.
Ink: Stazon Black, Bashful Blue, Mellow Moss, Chocolate Chip.

Sympathy card

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a great day. I have been feeling under the weather, not much stamping lately, just thinking about my family in Peru and how much I miss them. Yesterday was a hard day, that happens sometimes, I was very sad.
Anyway, today is a new day, feeling a bit (tiny bit) better and with DT work to do. I finally finished my cards for the next challenges on my DT, so have to come back and see them tomorrow and Wednesday.

Today I made a quick Sympathy card. A really nice guy and brother in Christ has lost his sister and few weeks after his granddaughter passed away. He is so nice with everybody, always greeting and giving you nice words. Last Sunday, he shared his story with the whole congregation, he found out his cancer was back and he had to have Chemotherapy again, he went to his doctor appointment and had a very sophisticated test, few days later his doctor told him, I have something to tell you. He went and heard the doctor said, something must be really good because you have NOTHING!!!! You are CANCER FREE!!! God is awesome and Miracles exist. We are so happy for him, but at the same time we feel his sorrow for his lost.

This is the card I made:

Card Recipe:
Card stock: White, Pink Pirouette, Black.
Paper: SU DP Bella Rose.
Stamps:
Birdie Fun by smARTworks, Daisy Trio #1 by smARTworks .
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Cranberry Crisp, Burgundy.
Embellishments: Pink Sattin Ribbon, Gold brads.
Accessories: 3D foam by EK-Success, Mini glue dots, sponges.

I hope you like it.
Have a great day.

What!!!!

Hi!!! Not a good for me today. First, who on earth makes a phone call at 1:18 am??? I was sleeping so good and I heard something, I thought I was having a dream, but not it was my phone ringing and ringing, it lasted the 20 seconds or so, finally when I said hello, this "person" hanged up.WHAT??!!! I was so upset, gladly neither Rebecca nor David heard the phone. After that I couldn't sleep. I was rolling on my bed, finally I fell asleep around 4:30 am {insert sleepy face}. I got up at 6:30 am and I was so tired, I tried to make a card and guess WHAT, my lovely embossing heat gun didn't work, oh my what a lovely day. I tried everything, :( oh well, right now I can't afford to buy a new one, and I love to emboss.

Tomorrow early in the morning I have a doctor's appointment, my blood tests are all good, but one is showing some kind of high hormones something, I have no idea, so tomorrow I have to go and check what kind of treatment I need. Maybe that's why I can't get pregnant.

I hope tomorrow I get a better day, maybe I will get a hair cut so that will make me feel better.

I hope you are having a great day.
God bless you
Giovana

Prayer request for Marcus

Today, browsing into blogland I stopped at Melanie's blog, "Hands, head and heart" and when I was just enjoying all her creations I rolled down and I found this post that touch my heart. I realized how blessed we are having our love ones around us with good health and happiness. Many time we take everything for granted.
I read about Marcus and my heart cried, he has terminal brain cancer, he is blind and partial paralyzed, he knows he is leaving this earth soon, he loves to listen music and loves Batman. I am just writing this to keep in your prayers, I don't know him neither his family, but in our blog land we all are friends and support each other.
You can read more about Marcus and also his cousin Jessica, who has cancer as well, at Nancy's blog Are we having fun yet.

God bless you
Have a great day
Don't forget to give a hug and tell your love one you care and love.

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a great Monday. My sinus infection still on and active, arggghhh, I have good and bad days, yesterday was a really good day and I had some time to stamp after church. I played Mojo Monday 56 (from last week), but when I tried to get a good pic it was too late, so I had to wait until today for a good picture.
Anyway, my card has a lot of heat embossing and 3d effect, so my card also qualifies for October Project Parade by Verve. A lot of heat embossing, the small butterflies in the circle are embossed using gold ep. The big butterfly is embossed in gold ep as well, but on black CS. The flowers are stamped twice and positioned with 3D foam, I colored them with watercolor pencils, markers and them embossed using Clear e.p.
I stitched my second and third layer on CS, added some gold brads and the big butterfly has some mini rhinestones.
The pretty set is Cone flowers by smARTworks.

Hello everyone, it is Tea Party Time again!! This timeSusan is hosting the party and she gave us this pretty sketch to work with. I managed some time (before and after getting sick) to make 2 cards. I really love my cards this time, LOL I think they are really pretty. (Last Tea Party I didn't like my card and I was in a hurry creating another one and I was late posting)

Someone remembers: I used 2 different sets Daisy Trio #2 for the image and Daisy Trio #1 for the sentiment. I kept the sketch as the original format. I stamped the image using 3 different ink colors: Marigold Morning, Marigold (pigment) and Orange (pigment), then I used some clear embossing powder to give it the shiny look.

Card Recipe:
Card stock: River Rock, Only Orange, White.
Paper: DP BasicGrey.
Stamps: Daisy Trio #1, Daisy trio #2 by smARTworks.
Ink: Marigold Morning, True Thyme, Marigold (pigment), Orange (pigment).
Embellishments: Martha Stewart Rayon ribbon, Gold brads.
Accessories: Dimensionals, Mini glue dots.

Wishing you... For this card I flip the sketch. I used Chickadee Wishes set. I stamped the image twice using Pretty in Pink ink, then cut them out and positioned them using mini glue dots on the branches and Dimensionals on the bird. Them I sponged the borders of the brid with some Cranberry Crisp and added some pink glitter. The branches are sponged with some True Thyme ink and then some green glitter.
I zig zag stitch the second and third layer. The sentiment is stamped in Cranberry Crisp ink and sponged with Pretty in Pink. The silver brds are from Jo-Ann's.

Some bunny loves you!!

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a great day. I started my day going to the Lab and having some test done, I fasted for more than 12 hours and I was hungry, LOL. The lady st the lab took 4 tubs of blood, I hope I get only good results. I am having a Sinus infection and that is causing a lot of headaches, right now I am taking antibiotics and pain killers, but they make me drowsy, not fun.
Anyway, I've been working on DT assignments, but I managed some time to make a couple of baby cards. I used Somebunny Set from Verve Visual. The cards are very simple to make, less than 10 minutes, I think I spent more time cutting the bunny than making the card.
The bunnies are stamped twice and then positioned with 3D foam.
