A Fish Story and challenge cards

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a great Saturday, usually I don't post anything on Saturdays, but today I finished all my chores early so I decided to make some challenge cards.
Talking about chores, today I cleaned the fish tank and I moved the fish (Readdie Eddie is his name, why?? because he is red, LOL) into another container and he didn't like it at all. We looked really stressed out, well the other container was very small and he couldn't swim as usual.
Anyway, when we bought the fish 2 weeks ago (after our great Gappie died) the lady at the pet store told me don't change the water too often and when I change the water let it cool down a little bit before to put the fish back into the tank, so well I did that. Around 11 am I went to pick up a box to the store and when we came back home I didn't see the fish in the container, I said, OH MY!!! Where is the fish????? Yes, Reddie Eddie jumped out and was laying on the kitchen counter, David took the fish and put him in the tank, I was praying to see the fish swimming again (Rebecca cried a lot when Gappie died) anyway, we waited and waited and finally the fish started moving a little bit, then he started swimming really fast, looked like a Fast Forward scene, LOL, and then David told something really funny, he said: I think Reddie Eddie has brain damage, I said WHAT??????? He was very serious, I didn't know if he was teasing me or not.
Anyway, right now looks like the fish is fine, we will see what happens later, so far he didn't eat, maybe if he has a brain damage and I have to feed the fish????? LOL.

Well, back to business, I made 3 cards today. I enjoyed creating these cards. They are for some blog challenges. I hope you like them.

The challenge is to make a card using the sketch provided. I made 2 cards for this challenge, a Thank you card and a Baby card.

" Thank you card "
For this card I used SU Merci Stamp Set, I stamped it on White Card stock using Black Stazon Ink. I colored the image with Colored Pencils. I made some dots around the image using Gold Stickles.
I used 2 different tones of yellow card stock. One for the background and the other one for the scallop oval. For the oval I used my Coluzzle and then I used my edge scissors.
The sentiment is from SU Vases in Vogue Stamps Set (hostess & retired), the background paper in unknown (I got it long time ago and didn't have any company name)
The flowers are Prima flowers and I added some Yellow Rick rack.

I hope you like it.

" Baby Card "
I love this card, IRL is really pretty. I used not the convencional colors for a baby card, but I like this combo a lot. For this card I used the hippo from SU Pun Fun Stamp Set, I colored the hippo with colored pencils and then I added some stickles on the right corner. For the image background I used a square scallop (SU Pretty in pink CS). The base card is SU Certainly Celery CS, The background paper is unknown (oh well must have a company but I don't have the name) The pink grosgrain ribbon I got it at Walmart. I put some Prima flowers on the left corner and added a pink brad.
I used my sewing machine, my sewing skills are not the best, but I tried it.
I used some dimensionals for the sentiment and gold stickles for the corners.
I hope you like it.

Moralia's Weblog Sketch Challenge
In this case the sketch was provided too, you can check it out just clicking the link.
I made another baby card for this challenge.
" Baby Girl "
For this card I used SU Pretty in Pink CS, embossed white CS. I distressed the borders using SU Pretty in Pink Ink. The DP is Well Baby Girl Words from American Traditional Desings. My image is from Studio G Clear Stamps, I colored the image using colored pencils.
I used Satin Baby Maize Ribbon from Offray. My image has a Pretty in Pink Rectangle Scallop as a BG.
I used a couple of Prima Flowers in the rigth upper corner and a couple of clear rhinestones in the left bottom corner.
I hope you like it.

  3. Adorable. I really like the hippo, and I think the colors are great. Who says you always have to use pink and blue for babies, anyway?

By the way, I bet a lot of people (like me) have looked at your blog and really enjoyed it, but were either too shy or didn't think to leave a comment. Please don't get discouraged.

Also love your music selection! God bless.
