Time for Tea

Hello everyone! How are you doing? I hope you are having a great day! I am finally getting better from the cold/cough/flu combo I got, I slept very well last night, first night in a very long time, 8 hours straight!!
I am still congested, but I can eat and do things, energy is back, so I am counting all those little things as a precious things.

Let's say I drank a lot of tea during my sick days, I made this card  before getting sick, but I think it is perfect during sick days, time for tea (with lemon and honey)

I used this fun Spectrum Noir Sparkle set "Tea Time Treats", the images were stamped on Watercolor cardstock in Versamark ink and white embossing powder, then colored the images with Spectrum Aqua Markers, I used Bud Green Gold, Kingfisher, Rose Pink; Spice (for the background). I added Rose Pearl Shimmering Cardstock to the sides and stitches.

The sentiment was stamped on a piece of vellum and added a bigger second layer undeneath, then added sttiches. As a final touch I added pearls.

Don't forget Sara Davies and Jennifer Tryon will be on HSN March 8th! New products will be available! You can see them HERE and if you are on Facebook check out the daily post and prizes too!!

Hope you like it!
Have a fantastic day!

Bloom

Hello friends! Sorry, I have been quiet for a few days, I thought I had a bad cold and ended up having the flu, seriously, it was really BAD!! I am finally feeling better, still coughing and minor runny nose, but other than that I can walk and not getting tired and no more fever!
Anyway, I want to share with you today a new set that will be debuting on HSN March 8th!! This set was designed by our Jennifer Tryon, she is an amazing artist, just in case you didn't know she is LIVE every Wednesday on the Crafter's Companion US Facebook page, with tutorials, ideas and everything live!

Last night, she created a beautiful watercolor piece with her new set, it's called "Bloom" and the possibilities are endless, I invite you to visit the page and watch the video, you will love it!
This graphic is from last night, but you can see the set. {wink, wink}

And let me show you the card I made using the littlest stamp from this set, yes, I used only 1 little stamp to create the background.

Here are the details:

  • Create a card base from Ultra Premium White cardstock.
  • Cut a panel from Watercolor Cardstock and stamp the image with JetBlack Ink. then color them and create the buds with Spectrum Aqua Markers: Gold, Spice, Blossom, Rose Pink, Crimson, Mos. Aquamarine was used for the background. Then add a little bit of Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle to the background.
  •  Cut a panel from Rose Pearl Shimmering cardstock. Stamp sentiment on a piece of velum and adhere it to the watercolor panel.
  • Add stitches and adhere panel to card base.

Can you see the shimmer action?

Roses Love

Hello friends! Happy Wednesday to you all! Sharing today a super cute and easy watercoloring card. I used a couple of rose stamps from the Hello Beautiful Set, stamped them in Versamark Watermark Ink and sprinkled white embossing powder, then heated set. After that, I started coloring the roses with Spectrum Aqua Markers: these are the markers I used:  Blossom, Moss, Crimson (roses), Desert, Terracota, Chesnut (Background), letting the colors dry and then adding more if needed or until you are happy with the result.

I trimmed the piece to 3.75" x 5" and adhered it to A2 White Card Base. I embellished my card adding thin gold metallic tape to the left side and die-cut "love" using Gold Glitter Cardstock.

Love

Hello friends!! February has arrived and we have also been told by Phil, Winter is sticking with us for 6 more weeks (I don't really believe it, just joining the fun), we have a Winter storm coming today to my area and honestly I am tired of snow and cold weather, plus the cold, flu, sickness, ugghh, I am dreaming of Spring!!

Anyway, until Spring comes, I have a very lovely card for you! My mojo has been gone for a while, but I think it finally made its come back! I feel like I want to craft everyday. Well, two night ago I took one stamp from "Arrow the Art" set and 1 mask "Love"word from a Stencils and Masks Love by Leoni Pujol and stamped the hearts and masked the sentiment, it was relaxing to make this card.

Here are the steps:
  • Stamp heart from "Arrow the Art" set on a piece of White Cardstock (3.5" x 4.75') in red ink.
  • Color the hearts with the new Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers, here I used: PP5 and PP6,  then added Solar Red and Clear Sparkle Markers, for the background I used FS3.
  • Mask the "love" word on a piece of vellum. I used a spray machine to create the mask. Tear the vellum paper, add behind it a piece of gold cardstock.
  • Add a very thin piece of Gold Metallic tape to the panel, tie twine around.
  • Add foam tape to add and add it to card base.
