So here are my creations, both cards using

Clean and Simple Cards.

Card Recipe:
Card Stock: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Barely Banana.
Stamps:
Buttoned Up
Ink:Riding Hood Red.
Embellishments: Offray Pink Ribbon, Rhinestones (Making Memories)
Accessories: 3D foam by EK-Success, Diamond Glaze, Mini Glue dots, Scallop Scissors (Provo Crafts)

I thought of you today: I love this sentiment!!! Makes me feel especial, don you think?? My inspiration for this card comes from Everyday Magazine, just opening the first page I found a Coffee add in Kraft , Chocolate Chip and Red, the first thing I thought was, what a great color combo!!!! LOL. So I Tried it on my card and it is really pretty, every image was heat embossed and gives it a very shiny look.I heat embossed the flowers, cut them out and then with my fingers I twisted the borders. I found out (maybe you knew this already) that if you embossed an image and add a mini glue dot on top it doesn't stick, for that reason I used Diamond Glaze, and whatever you want to add will stick perfectly ;)

Card Recipe:
Card Stock: Kraft.
Stamps: Images from
Buttoned Up and sentiment from Cookie Plate.
Ink: Chocolate Chip Craft, Clear Embossing pad.
Embellishments: Button, Offray Red Ribbon.
Accessories:Clear Embossing powder, Red embossing powder, Embossing gun, Mini glue dots, Diamond glaze.

Hope you like them!!!

Don't forget tomorrow our Tea Party Challenge!!! This time is a sketch and I have 2 cards for this challenge. I hope you can play along too!!!

Alfajores Recipe

Hello everyone. I had a couple of requests about the Alfajores Recipe, so here it is. If you try it, I would love to see them.
I made 5 cards between yesterday and today and when I was ready to take pictures of them, the battery was dead, so now is recharging, come back later to see my creations!!!
Anyway, here is the recipe:

Ingredients:
3/4 cup of margarine or butter.
1 cup of sugar
4 egg yolks
1 egg white.
2 cups of corn starch
3/4 cup of all purpose flour
1 tsp Baking Powder.
1 tsp vanilla extract
lemon or orange zest. (about 1/2 lemon)
Crema De leche
Shred coconut. (optional)

1.- Mix together margarine and sugar.
2.- Add yolks and egg white, mix until very creamy.
3.- Sift together flour, corn starch and baking powder. Add to the mix. Then add lemon zest and vanilla.
4.- At this point your dough is very VERy soft, so add a bit of flour onto a cloth towel, cover and let it rest in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. I let my dough rest for 30 minutes.
5.- After this time, extend your dough on a flour surface and cut little or big circles, (this is up to you) mine usually are 2". Put them in a greased baking sheet.
6.- Bake 350 F for about 20 minutes or lightly golden.
7.- Once they are cold add Crema de Leche and coconut around (this is optional)

You can buy Crema de Leche already done in any store in the Latin Aisle, if you want to make your own, boil a can of condensed milk for about 2 hours, let it cool completely before you open it up.

A little secret, after my dough has been in the refrigeraton for about half hour, I get just a quarter or third of it and work with it, this dough is very delicate and gets warm and very softvery fast, working with little amounts work the best.

Enjoy it!!!!

Two cards and a Peruvian dessert!!

Hello everyone, if anyone there??? I have to say that my mojo has been gone for almost a week, OH MY!!! I tried to stamp several times, but after trying to mix colors ans papers and inks, I gave up, no mojo, no inspiration, no nothing {insert sad face}. The posts from last week were all previously set up. Anyway, I spent my week having time with my family, baking and just planning few things I want to do in the next few weeks. I also spent time praying, sometimes we (Christians) don't spend much time praying. I needed to do it, so many things to pray for, it feels so good being in the presence of the Lord and you can feel His Love.

Today, I finally have some time stamping!!!! Nothing really complicated, actually very easy cards, but they reflect what I have been doing this week.

Tend the Little Things: The image was stamped in White Craft and then embossed with White ep. The sentiment was stamped in Real Red.
Card Recipe:
Card Stock: Red, White.
Stamps:
Buttoned Up and Cookie Plate both sets by smARTworks.
Ink: White Craft, Real Red.
Embellishments: Offray White Ribbon, Gold Stickles.
Accessories: Red thread, Sewing machine, Corner punch, 3D foam by EK-Success.

Praying for You: The image was stamped in a piece of DP using also White Craft Ink, the sentiment was stamped in Basic Brown. I added 2 Clear rhinestones on the corner and a little bow on the image.
Card Recipe:
Card Stock: Kraft.
Paper: GCD Studios Item #165.
Stamps:
Cookie Plate and Combo Sentiments by smARTworks.
Ink: White Craft, Basic Brown.
Embellishments: Offray Ribbon, Clear Rhinestones.
Accessories: White ep, embossing gun, Mini glue dots.

Also I want to show you a Peruvian Dessert I made this week, it is called "ALFAJORES", they are delicious, very delicate and super soft. Last time I made them was almost 3 years ago, wow!!! time flies for sure. Last Thursday I spent time baking with Becca, of course what she wanted the most was to lick the spoon and taste more and more Crema de Leche, yummy!!!
Here few pictures of my delicious Alfajores!!!!!

Have a great day!!!
Thanks for stopping by.

It's in the bag

Hello my friends, a very late post, but I want to show you what I created today!! This is something really new for me and I hope you like it.
Today, checking some blogs I found a challenge on Nicoles's blog from PaperTrey Ink. The challenge was to create a bag, any kind, but a bag, My DD told me several times she wanted a new purse (that she really needed one, hey she is only 4, LOL) so I decided to create a new purse for her using my new stamps, how cool is that!!!
For my project I used my Cookie Plate #1: Botanicals from smARTworks.
I stamped the flower image 3 times, once with Read Red Ink and twice with Embossing Pad and then I added some Red Embossing Powder, it melted really good without causing any damage to the fabric. Then I stamped the butterflies twice with Gold Embossing powder.

Do you like it???? Please let me know what do you think about this little purse. My little daughter is so happy!!! Can you see her happy face?!?!
Thanks for stopping by!!
Have a great day.
