Design Staples

Today, I woke up with a horrible backache, I really didn't want to get up but DD wanted her breakfast and I was begging her for 5 more minutes, LOL, do you do that sometimes?
Anyway, I got up, made breakfast for both of us, took some ibuprofen because I was dying in pain and then checked the new challenge :) that you can find here : www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=320402 to use staples in your card.

I was so happy with today's challenge because I had an image already painted and stapled, isn't it cool? So, I decided to use that one, Sassy Stems image. I just wanted to do something easy and quick and this is what I came up with.
I hope you like it.

Baby presents

Today I woke up feeling down, under the weather or whatever you want to call it. I wasn't in the mood for anything, so after few house chores I decided to take a look on today's sketch challenge on SCS. I was just thinking about the baby card I needed to make for a friend from church who just had a baby boy last Saturday. So, on my mind was that project and also thousands of other things I want to do, but I don't have enough time for.
Anyway, I used again my Peek-A-Boo set, I really love it!!! and it was perfect for the baby card, the sketch challenge also fits perfect the baby card I had in mind. I also want to share with you the baby felt shoes I made few weeks ago. They are going to be part of her baby present. I found the patterns on the Internet and I decided to give it a try. They are super easy and I made them in one hour.
I hope you like them.

Tuesday Challenge: Color combinations

Today I tried another SCS challenge: Color combinations, I really like this challenge and always do my best to accomplish somthing good. This time was Yo Yo Yellow, Going Gray and Basic Gray. At the same time I wanted to use the Sketch challenge 84 so I can put this card in the monthly card contest in teh Wish Rak group.

For this card I used a lot of embossing, I got a little crazy and my hands coulsn't stop the embossing gun LOL. I embossed the butterflies in silver and black ep then I cut them out.

I also embossed the background using the flower from Vases in Vogue and the sentiment is (also embossed) from So many Saying set. I used dimmensionals to give it a better look..

I hope you like it.

Monday Challenge: Dahlia Fold

Yesterday, my blog was crazy. I wrote the information for this card but it didn't let me go through with all the process, something happened, I don't know what, anyway, I made this card for yesterday's challenge on SCS: Try a New Technique Dahlia Fold. I tried and it was great, first time trying this technique. When I read the information about this challenge and found out that the directions were given by my good online friend Judy Headrick, she has an awesome website with a lot of instructions, you can find the Dahlia Fold steps here: http://www.cardsandcrafts.freeservers.com/dahlia.html

My Dahlia I think came up pretty good. I don't know, what do you think?

Purse

Today I really wanted to participate in the SCS challenge, but I didn't have any paints that I could use, so instead I decided to navigate into my fav blogs and I found this cute purse tutorial paperpleasing.typepad.com/my_weblog/2008/01/mini-gift-cards.html. I decided to give it a try .

Well, It is super cute and I love it. I didn't use cardstock instead I used Designer paper which is strong enough to work with. Thanks to all my wonderful friends on the Wish Rak group I decorated it with scallop circles punches inside and out.

The outside one was embossed with gold ep. I put a tiny little gold brad in the center.

I cut 2 little circles punches in 4 so I got 8 small pieces from the red and blue color. I put them on the corners and embossed them as well.

I hope you like it.
Recipe:
Magnolia Designed Paper, Red Cardstock, Pink Scallop Punch, White, green, red and light blue circle punches, gold brad, embossing powder and embossing gun, sticky strip.

Special Delivery

Hi, I am here again with another baby card, This time I tried Sketch Challenge 160 on SCS.

I don't know why, but I decided to use my Peek-A-Boo set, have you noticed that the SCS gallery has only 4 pic with with set? I like this set and I have done few cards with it, but I think it was not as popular as others. Anyway, I made this card very fast. I am not fast when I try a challenge, but this time I made it in 30 minutes (well, maybe that's fast for me, LOL)
I embossed the image in gold pigment ink. I think this way looks a lot better that simple color ink. I used dimensionals to give it a better look.
I hope you like it.

Pink cardstock (Color candy)by Lasting Impression .

Weekend Sketch Challenge 31

Today my DD was taking a nap, so I decided to make a card, everything was just perfect until I heard a : Mommy I am not tired, Can I make a card with you? OH OH, she is not napping, SHE IS AWAKE!!!!!!!, anyway, I said, OK, you can stay here, BUT please do not touch anything, of course my statement didn't work, she started taking everything and asking me IF she could use this and that, OH GREAT, so again I am making a card that takes me a lot longer that I was planned.

Anyway, this time I tried Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #31. I was so inspired that when I was making the card I changed everything, yes, that happens to me all the time, does it happen to you too?
Do you like the flowers? I made them. I used the flower from Vase in Vogue, I stamped it on the felt using light blue ink, then I embossed them and cut them. Cute uh? If you try it, just be careful not to use the embossed machine too close, the fabric burned.
I doble stamped the stroller, I embossed the top one and also used dimensional.
I think this card is really cute, looks a lot better IRL. I will give this card to a friend from church who is just ready to push the baby out, LOL.
This is my card, I hope you like it.
